From the footage I saw, the laser never hit his eyes, just seemed to be across his cheeks.
Not condoning it BTW, bloody idiot should get a life ban.
He saved the penalty anyway, though why he tried to smother it instead of pushing it to the side I don't know.

The approach with VAR at the Euros seems much more in line with my thoughts of using it - just for obvious cock ups.
Don't think I've seen a match yet with a 4 minute delay and lines being drawn everywhere.
That said, last night's penalty incident seemed to have a distinct lack of camera angles to choose from.
It seemed like the first defender didn't touch Sterling but the second one could have.
No definitive camera view makes it, as they say in cricket, "umpires call" and as the ref gave a penalty, they couldn't justify overturning it.
Denmark definitely had me worried during the 90 minutes but I thought they were lacklustre in extra time.

There are cheats in every team and that is a fact. With VAR I thought that we would actually punish cheaters/divers but from what I have seen there is not much of a change of that.

Kane was falling to the ground in almost every contact yesterday. Very annoying to see.
