Lenihan had agreed a contract the day before the Bournemouth game. He did not want to continue under Mowbray and waited and waited for a new Manager/Hd Coach announcement but was made a better offer by Wilder who has been a long term fan of his. I can’t blame him chasing new challenges and a better pay day……I would.

As JDT said in interviews he has the final say whether we sign a player or not.

Broughton will be the main transfer person now which is what I expect now.

Johnson rightly “refused to come out for the 2nd half and Lenihan told Mowbray to sit down and shut up and we will sort out this shit show”. Lenihan took charge and Mowbray, as we know, sat in the dugout sulking for the whole of the 2nd half and not once went to touchline.

We won 3-1.

“That was the game when Mowbray lost all the players and the decision was taken that he was leaving”.

no surprised by this and Mowbray lost the players confidence then. He didn't know what he was doing was false 9 bollocks

It sounds exciting although I wasn’t aware football is such a complex game!
It does say, however, that he will require a lot of investment by the owners which is my only concern.

I feel a bit sorry for JDT assessing the squad the last two weeks and season starts in 4-5 weeks.
Lost 5 players from last year with no replacements and we will likely get walloped for the first few games until transfers end. Plus trying to get the right signings in.
I hope he achieves but think this year might be over already. Broughton did say it’d be a few windows. Hope the rovers keep faith.

I agree. We need to get some new faces in soon. We will have got a few £££’s saved on the salaries of Lenihan, Nyambe and Rothwell.

No point getting replacements in pal until the new guy has had a chance to assess what we already have. I’m sure the hunt is already on, keep the faith!

I think he new what he signed up for and it will be a challenge for him and his staff. If he can manage to keep us in mid table with these players I would be very happy. Hopefully he can get some funds and invest in a couple of players who can add skills to this team.
