It’s really poor. Compared to PNE and Bolton it’s horrendous. Lack of marketing being aimed at the right groups effectively was an issue, lateness again of them being released and our poor summer business thusfar all contribute I suspect.

Best never to ask itk ers for their sources dave or the sources will dry up.
Suffice to say that BB gave me a probable cause regarding a desperately naive decision not to poach from other local clubs. I find that ridiculous given our need to attract from anywhere. Let's be honest the ever increasing section of bwd's population is the Muslim community and there isn't enough affinity with the rovers from them imo.

Take your point drog, but Goozeburger across the road has been compiling stats which seem to be legit, and he comes up with a couple of K's more.
Not that important in the scheme of things, but it might point to a change of strategy in increasing the numbers.

I think the club are doing more than enough to attract new fans from the Asian community don’t you? One of the problems being that racism does exist among some fans.

Just picked this up from over the road, seems to confirm BB's estimates.

The figure will be on the Fans Forum minutes (think they met last week), I presume they’ll be published next week…
Given the minutes have been signed off from last Monday's meeting (18th) and will be on the site very soon I can confirm that the figure we got at the meeting was 7,800. That is just bought tickets, so excludes any comps that have been allocated and I guess that could explain the difference between that and Goozburger's calculations. I assume that the club's various sponsors get comps allocated as well as club employees, players etc."

Crikey I know we've had disappointments over the past couple of seasons but overall the plusses of the Rovers since Mowbray came have far exceeded the minus's.
Good passing football for the SamHaters.
Promotion from League 1.
The youngsters from the Academy being given every chance in the first team for those types who frequently fall back on a call to 'sack the lot of em and play the youth team'.
A team that has entertained and punched above it's financial weight finishing most seasons in the top half and sometimes flirting with play offs / promotion.
A team that has consistently proved to be fit and well trained.
Players with good team spirit who do in the main fight and give their all for the club.
Maintaining at significant cost a Cat A Academy.

Ingratitude is the best word for it imo.

I don’t disagree with any of your examples pal but Mowbray was given long enough and was going stale near the end. Time for a fresh manager.

Took Fergy 6 years before he won the Prem with MU with the class of '92 presented to him by youth team manager Eric Harrison. The rest as they say is history. I can't imagine how the Prem would have panned out without the Fergy years.

Yes but if Mark Robins hadn’t scored that goal (think it was him) then he would have been sacked. You can’t predict some things.

Burnley sold over 14000!
They wont continue to do if they stay down. Check out ours after relegation... and don't forget how unpopular Keane and the Venkys were.
England historical attendance and performance (european-football-statistics.co.uk)

Unfortunately we are hemmed in on all sides. As it stands I'm sure the demographic changes of Blackburn will finish us off.
I've championed the amalgamation of Lancashire town clubs for three decades now as being inevitable. Back then with Burnley, Bolton, PNE and Blackpool lingering in the 4th Div we would have been in the driving seat. That situation has altered dramatically against us now. If the people of Blackburn won't support a decent team then they won't have one.
