There's one for Blackburn so why not.
I was pleased to note that the road from the Aquaduct to the ASDA turnoff has had the surface scraped off, presumably for re-surfacing. About time too. The surface was absolutely full of huge potholes to the extent of being dangerous. Disgraceful for any road, never mind a major one It was well overdue.

FFS, we will have one for Darren next

:joy::joy::joy:

next thing you know we will be Lancashire United
Nah! Only titles for proper towns and Lancashire will never be united whilst Burnley is within it's borders. At least Bolton has gone to Greater Manchester.:p

It’s time Burnley became part of West Yorkshire . The Dingles sound like and share a similar mentality to their Yorkshire brethren . My wife being an honourable exception, but she had the good sense to marry a Lancashire lad and move 60 miles west :)

Although with the radical Islam now rapidly establishing itself in Blackburn she’s beginning to have second thoughts !

How times have changed . Started my drinking career at the Bees Knees in the mid 70s . The circuit also included the Pickwick , Regency Bar and the Astronaut . Then it was up to Enfield Cricket Club for the Saturday night disco featuring Disco Mantis . It was the era of Saturday Night Fever , the Bee Gees and lots of disco gems . A cracking night out .

I then dated a Blackburn girl and it was the Blackburn pubs and then up to the Cav . Happy , happy days .

Not an Accy lad myself OOT but I wouldn't swap my memories of my early drinking nights out and the pubs we visited in Blackburn for many things.

My youth was similar but it was up to the Mecca for me. If I was lucky and walked a girl home then great but if not I would meet the lads in the Ying Kin for a curry. I had more curries than I care to remember. They were great days though and I wouldn't swap them for anything.

Al, you took me right back to the 60's there, Mecca, Ying Kin, or the Indo Pak.
And therein lies my problem, I'm an 18 year old in a 74 year old body.

Ying Kin looked a bit posh when it opened but soon became 'blackburned'. Some other dodgy establishments back then which we went to when everywhere else shut included the Dildar on Town Hall St, Bangladesh on Darwen St, Khyber of course, Deans on King St.

I’ve still got some of his running pants although I doubt I could get in them now despite their stretchiness.

I see the comments section in Tuesday's story on this has been closed down. Shuiab Khan's work I wonder?

I daren’t show this to the wife or it’ll be the final nail in the coffin 😉 She’s already planning our East Lancashire get away .
