its a pity TM did not have faith in Rankin Castello the other night we all know what Bennett brings to the party, not very much.

I was surprised by that Waggy. Everyone expected R-C to be coming on but our hopes were dashed when TM played his pal.

Personally given the injury to Rothwell and us in the lead I'd have put Johnson on next to Trav and shoved Downing out wide left. Least disruption all round.
However we mustn't crib when TM brings home the bacon must we?

I suspect JRC will become a regular in the first team squad now, we have got some promising young players coming through now.

Nothing like knowing the lads personally and seeing their interactions with their teammates but am I the only one to see Captain potential in Travis? Such a strong influence in the middle and constantly verbal to the other players around him.

We need to spread the word. Glory hunters have all dropped off and the club needs some of em back.

Particularly impressed in the way TM’s Rovers have improved defensively. I felt the defence of last year would have crumbled against an impressive Brentford yesterday . Tosin is a big improvement on Williams and/or Mulgrew , Lenihan is maturing although his distribution could be better and Nyambe has been a revelation this season ( always thought he had the basics to make a good full back ) . Left full back is up for grabs but I think Bell hasn’t done himself any harm recently . Walton did well yesterday and seems to be establishing himself as a competent and reliable stopper . A defence always performs better if it has a ‘solid’ keeper . Raya made a decent save from Armstrong late on , but the hash he made in challenging Buckley for the penalty , convinced me TM was right to off load him . I also think the emerging impressive Travis helps the defensive stability .

At this stage of the season my assessment of TM is performing well above my expectations.

I have always been liking him more as time goes by. If he is here for another 3 years i will be happy and i am sure we will be doing well. I always rated him in his previous jobs. Carry on in the same way i say.

Always liked the way Mowbray conducted himself in interviews before he came here, and I haven't seen too much to make me change my mind. His old school attitude, combined with an innovative (perhaps too theoretical at times) approach to how the game should be played, is a breath of fresh air after the chancers and dollopers we've had to put up with since Pune posse fired Allardyce.

If ever TM gets the flick, here's the guy I'd like to give a chance to:

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-12...ith-yokohama-f-marinos/11755378?section=sport

He's as honest as the day is long, and when he gets to his objective, he's likely to up and leave.
Conversely, he knows when it's time to go on the wrong end.
Good call from 18 months ago dave... seems Celtic are moving in for him.👍
Ange Postecoglou could be announced as Celtic manager in next few days, says Craig Moore | Football News | Sky Sports

Crikey ODB.... Would you hire Roy Keane after his managerial record?

No probably not but I thought he was nailed on to get the job though.
