Diddums. What he means is that once we had not met his demands he tried to find someone else to meet them without success and came back with his tail between his legs. I'm not even sure all of the decisions made would have been TM's either. I also feel Mowbray will get even less say this season as financial reality and the Covid effect here and in India bites deep.

As much as I like Downing from his no doubt comfy financial existence, I don’t think he appreciated the precarious state of the club at the time in terms of managing the budget. His comments are a bit poor really, there was a pandemic going on remember?
