Queen Victoria still stands proudly ( minus the 1970s graffiti) in the same place , but the Boulevard is now the Cathedral Quarter . To give those responsible some credit , the Cathedral Quarter is an attractive area and a nice welcome to the town for visitors as they exit the railway station .Nice one ODB.
Good to see the sun shining in deepest East Lancs - although that looks like a decent camera you used there!
So the old market is the new bouley by the looks of things? And no sign of the Queen Vic statue
The camera is actually on my iPhone XR pal!Nice one ODB.

That’s precisely why I created a new thread and not posted the pics on the Blackburn thread. Next time I’m in town I’ll get some images of the cathedral quarterHey folks - could this become a photos of Blackburn/Lancs thread?
Understatement of the decade!Changed a bit since I was last there!
I’ll get there pal soon, haven’t been for a while with bad back etc. I’ll put up one of the ground for a screensaver if you like.Good man ODB. Nice to see the old town. It all looks open and bare from the pics, and the new buildings on the bouley have a sterile effect, but the consensus seems to be that the changes have brought an improvement.
Would be great to see a bit of the surrounding locality too...you're not planning to visit Pendle Hill are you?
Great pic that ODB. A real northern scene!I’ll get there pal soon, haven’t been for a while with bad back etc. I’ll put up one of the ground for a screensaver if you like. View attachment 1576
