Nice one ODB.
Good to see the sun shining in deepest East Lancs - although that looks like a decent camera you used there!
So the old market is the new bouley by the looks of things? And no sign of the Queen Vic statue:eek:

Queen Victoria still stands proudly ( minus the 1970s graffiti) in the same place , but the Boulevard is now the Cathedral Quarter . To give those responsible some credit , the Cathedral Quarter is an attractive area and a nice welcome to the town for visitors as they exit the railway station .

Hey folks - could this become a photos of Blackburn/Lancs thread?
That’s precisely why I created a new thread and not posted the pics on the Blackburn thread. Next time I’m in town I’ll get some images of the cathedral quarter

My intention is to get some new threads running that can hopefully get others involved, particularly folk who are members but don’t post.

Some more pics for the likes of SLKS. The first three are of the new Cathedral Quarter which is where the Boulevard used to be. The next three are taken from The Mall and look towards a big space where Thwaites brewery used to be.

Must have had a long wait musn't he WB?

Good man ODB. Nice to see the old town. It all looks open and bare from the pics, and the new buildings on the bouley have a sterile effect, but the consensus seems to be that the changes have brought an improvement.

Would be great to see a bit of the surrounding locality too...you're not planning to visit Pendle Hill are you?

Some great pics there. I like seeing how Ewood looked before the redevelopments. None seem to show the old shop on the road though.

I’ll get there pal soon, haven’t been for a while with bad back etc. I’ll put up one of the ground for a screensaver if you like. 81666A4B-2B1F-402B-ADB7-98A399CBCFE2.jpeg

I must say whilst I remember the old Ewood (after the Bburn end was roofed and the floodlights were added..... daveb prob remembers the ground before) I feel little nostalgia for it. The new stadium is just miles better than any other ground in Lancashire.
