Barmitzvah Boy
Global winner of the 2021 Christmas Quiz 👊🤩🤩
I am getting some of these previews out early as I doubt they have t’internet wireless thingy out in Espana yet.
I have some good, and not so good, memories of going to the Boing Boing Stadium. I recall a match in the late 70’s / early 80’s where there was floor to roof netting between the Rovers fans and the Baggies lot, we were showered with coins for the whole game (I sellotaped some to my match programme as a souvenir) although I came home with a pocket full of small change. In more recent years I am proud to say I witnessed Keith Andrews scoring a goal!!! Does anyone else have that claim to fame?
I was messaged by my mate Barbie and she sent me a picture of the Barbie Bus that is going to the Boing Boing Stadium - Ewood Blues beware!!
You may not be aware but Barbie has her very own private boudoir at the rear complete with her toys.....
You may ask why are they called Boing Boing Baggies? I shall explain. They club have a number of famous fans. One is Barbara Windsor hence, for obvious reasons, the Boing Boing reference; another is the local MP and Labour Deputy Dawg Tom Watson who is pictured below in his new slimline self holding a copy of Mao’s Little Red Book on how to destroy a country:
Uncle Tom Watson:
As for the Baggies bit it is after the craze of baggy pants much loved by the local population of the Black Country (modelled by a spiced up duffer from Dudley).
The biggest claim to fame for West Brumwich is that the World famous ex-Rover Simon Garfunkel played
for them between 1992 - 1994 scoring 8 goals in 32 appearances. He was an instant hit and can be seen here alongside Noel Brotherston.
This will be a tough game for the Rovers. West Brom will come out all guns blazing and fired up for a win. I lot depends on whether we turn up or not. Given the state of the M6 there is a strong possibility we may not make it.
Fair play to the Baggies for pricing tickets at £20. This should help ensure a Rovers sell out of around 2,300 tickets. Even Alex Politzi is fired up for this game, she has even bought herself a new Rovers beanie hat:
For all you Kate Garraway lovers out there the bad news is that she is now dating Richie Smallwood as the following photograph illustrates, what poor taste.
