Theno in Gallagher 8 shocker
😊

Your softening to Super Sammy aren’t you? If he or Ben were a brilliant finisher as well as what they already do the they would be like Drogba and would be playing for a much bigger club. They both get incredible stick which I don’t often feel is deserved.
Rant over.
'7' was for his effort and willingness to graft for the cause ODB. ;) Anyway I think I gave BB a 7 not long ago. I do try to be fair and remain objective although you may disagree.

tbh yesterday Gally put a real shift in for the full 95 minutes too, and gave the Brentford defence a real hard time. Especially btw as he was up against their golden boy No 2 Henry. That lad was singled out for praise on Quest (Rovers hardly got a mention tbh:mad:). Henry is bloody quick too and early doors matched Arma for pace, but he struggled mightily against the size and power of Gallagher. Sometimes ODB size does matter.

Drog's ratings are generally a bit tough for an optimist like me and I'd certainly give Mowbray a 9/10 for today.
I did say I'd have given him more that 7 but for the opening forward mix up. As I said above football is all about opinions but to take Armstrong away from 'point' and squeeze him over to the left side has got to be a mistake when he's been scoring virtually every week. I heard last week that he's something like the 3rd highest scorer in all of Europe for the calendar year 2020 (virtually since Bradley Dack got injured btw and Arma moved inside) and behind just Christiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski! Some stat that and that's why I didn't give TM an 8 or 9.

Fair enough. Armstrong has been phenomenal of course this season but personally I was slightly concerned about his work-rate against Barnsley and yesterday (not against Millwall).

I didn't actually see him sprint at any point yesterday. Unlike Dolan who at one point sprinted from right wing to left back to pressure the ball and then help defend.

Hopefully I'm wrong on this but with the January window looming, its possible Armstrong is starting to get his head turned.

He was closing defenders and the keeper down at speed bawh but unless he gets those through balls down the channels to chase he'd just be wasting his energy. Also I can only base my opinion on 2020 not 2021. I don't want him to go whilst we are in the hunt for promotion but I doubt we can deny him a chance to play in the Prem if an offer comes in the summer. Our best allies in this might be the owners as they aren't the best people to deal with if they don't want a player to leave are they? Just ask Steve Bruce!

Rovers were the first up on Quest and showed the penalty from behind the nets, harsh decision but after the Millwall game our luck run out.It showed this side never gives up and that's something that has Been missing over the yrs.

Nothing wrong with cultivating a 'never say die' mentality in a football team is there?

Like when Rangers stupidly gave us 4m for big Col. There comes a time when it's best to hang up your boots whilst people still rem you at your best.

Wasn't that a part of Souness’s “suspicious’ dealings with Rangers?

I doubt it. Hendry was sold in 1998 by Woy I think. Then came Kidd and Graeme Souness didn't sign for us until 2000.

So despite even the Brentford fan sites saying the sending off was harsh the fa have backed the ref.... as most suspected they would. No wonder they are held in low esteem is it?
