0-1 8 mins.
Bright start by rovers but Ipswich steadied the ship and took over and it's 0-1 all a little too easily.

We will never have half a chance whilst we continue to play brittain, christene and Dolan. Poor players for this level

Two goals ruled out by the linesman. The second looked a peach. No claim by Ipswich players tells its own story. Plus how can a linesman decide if a player is obstructing the line of sight of the goalkeeper?🤔
Ref turned into the villain of the piece inside 10 mins with some proper one eyed decisions! When are we going to get the rub of the green with the officials?

Well this sucks. "Shit keeper and shit officiating" is the story of the game so far.

Ipswich haven't had to do anything and yet they lead. Let's hope they don't start playing like the team currently sitting at the top of the league.

I am as frustrated tonight as I’ve ever been watching Rovers. I don’t think we deserved to win the match but I’m sure we shouldn’t have lost it.
Ipswich are a good side but not brilliant. We should have scored at least one. Sammie missing 2 good chances and Pears gifting them their goal. Some good passages of play with Hedges and Tronstad and Dolan at times setting us up but it didn’t quite give us the edge.
A very poor TV experience with the female commentator failing to create the excitement and the atmosphere and it seemed to be played out without much crowd noise.
It is squeaky bum time with us 3 points off the bottom three. I still think we’ll get out of it but I noticed some of the players arguing with each other which I hadn’t seen before and on one occasion the camera showed JE telling Sammie and Dolan to stop showing their frustration after a bad pass.
As for JE I’m still not sure whether he’s very unlucky with decisions or individual mistakes or not very tactically aware.

I agree n your first sentence -- Very frustrated and angry
I even went and vented at the linesman when he gave an offside - I was in line and he was a good 6ft ON-side!! I flt he was just giving us two fingers
As for JE and what he is doing - he is throwing 11 names on a team sheet and just hoping he does an Owen Coyle at Burnley - and stumble on a formula

You weren’t the only one lambasting that crap linesman either Steve. On 84 minutes the poor linesman was getting so much stick he asked the referee to come over and have a word with the stewards. In 47 years of watching and working at football matches I have never seen that. We should have won that 2-1 and should be making an official complaint about that ref. I’d be checking the buggers bank account too to check for any suspicious deposits from Suffolk.
😉
All that aside Ipswich were really nothing special and if our exciting manager had told us to play the first half like we did the second we might have scored more goals than the dodgy officials could disallow for nothing.

That was because some idiot threw a bottle at his feet

I was thinking something similar on my way home - I have seen some shocking officiating over the years - but I struggle to remember a worse showing in 52years - it was that bad
Would love to hear what the Ipswich fans are saying on their way home - if they are honest, I bet even they couldnt believe the bias

Just something else I noticed - the Ipswich player was obviously trying to get in Pears head even as the were setting up for kick off - did he rik at Portman Rd too?
