Good night out - no real test for that team but Carlisle rattled the woodwork twice and scored a blinder ( after Travis got mugged whilst dawdling)
Think TM maybe feels they need more time together and get a confidence boost.
Palmer didn't quite look "at it"
Nyambe played a little like I/we are to good for this at times and didn't just do the simple, right thing
Other than that a very straight forward men against boys night

Graham didn't play. Do you mean Mulgrew?
No.... Well done for spotting the deliberate mistake Al. ;)

TBH I screwed up. An incorrect assumption based on hearing that we were putting out a strong team and noting the subs plus rather too long a sesh on peroni and wine in late afternoon.

Highlights.
You’ll have to scroll down as they’ve put all the games on the same page

Some great goals there!
Only highlights of course but Dack appeared a class above and was pulling all sorts of strings throughout, best bit was that him and Armstrong appeared to have quickly restored their devastating partnership of last season.
On the down side two characteristic and almost obligatory defensive lapses allowed a completely unmarked Carlisle player to thunder a shot against the bar whilst another gifted the ball for Carlisle's wonder goal. More professionalism and less carelessness please chaps.

We are a Championship team now Abbey. Goes with the territory as far as I am concerned. We live in a commercial world. One suggestion which I would make would be to make ST holders a 'concession' for all home cup matches.
Might serve to
1. sell more ST's
2. justify a small rise in the cost of ST's.
3. persuade ST holders to stay in their own seats for Cup matches.

I'm not surprised. I only saw the highlights but he looked like a Premier League player against the cumbrians.

There's a lot of my mates who drew the line at a tenner and are not going tonight ...I reckon 4 thousand tops with whatever lincoln bring .

Casual observers and not proper fans then aren't they? I'd say anyone who can't find 2 quid is already looking for an excuse. Rovers fans lifelong disease is talking their fellow supporters into staying away to justify their own abscence. A psychologist might put it down to some form of collective justification allied to a dose of self flagellation.
Odd though that so many found the money to go last game of the season didn't they? Where tf are those backsliding' glory hunting' plastic barstewards now who are whingeing about what is effectively the cost of half a pint of lager? There's always been plenty of bile directed toward the venkys, the Trust, the board, Rob Coar etc etc about disrespecting Jack Walkers memory and his fantastic long term legacy to the town and it's citizens but I feel just saw much contempt and disgust toward the fickle stayaway supporters who reckon they can't afford the extre 2 quid. Isn't that an equal if not greater disrespect of Jack's memory?
Why would any owners whoever they are choose to spend their money on providing a team to be proud of when their isn't enough support from the fans and the town? One can't simply put BRFC on a shelf when it doesn't suit and then take it down and dust it off when it does cos one day it won't be there.

Gotta love a holier than thou attitude.
Funny how you talk of barsteward , disrespect of uncle Jack, plastics, etc yet you did exactly the same ,as I did .

I am trying really hard for the forums sake to keep the scummers out of discussions yet these rovers raping turds keep being brought up as some sort of heroes.

Is this the old leugue cup, really I'm not sure. What happened to that one we could only play the under 23s. Makes zero difference if it's ten or twenty quid the match is just not a big draw to people. Ticket cost is always a low percentage of what it costs to attend a game anyway unless you walk there and eat/drink nothing.

Early rounds of a small cup comp will always be poorly attended venkys or not.

The last game of the season irked me a bit too, we should be getting upwards of 15k per game at this level.

I boycotted from Summer 2011 until Anderson and Kean left. They were the ones who I believed were looting the club for their own personal gain. I simply couldn't bring myself to fund that as well you know! At that time I may as well have written them a cheque for 350 quid ..... as you did.
