Nyambe's agent must be a complete nincompoop! I think this is him doing his Saturday job and reading the Premier League results to the nation.

Anyway Nyambe was not my cup of tea and I don't understand why we wanted to keep him and offered him another contract. Lenihan did much of his defending for him, he was built like the godawful micah richards and as such was injury prone, he was just a push and run merchant with poor crossing ability and couldn't score in a brothel. Some footballers think a yard quicker than anyone else and some a yard slower than everyone else. No need for me to say which category Nyambe is in. In fact should he want to return to Ewood here is my revised contract offer.....

His case should be a salutary lesson to all young players.

I liked Nyambe and for me the stats speak for themselves. An ever-present for 6 seasons at Rovers from the age of 18 is no mean feat. Although I guess it could be said he didn't live up to his extremely good early promise.

But fair enough, we haven't missed him. Rankin-Costello has been a revelation in recent months, and I thought Brittain was coming good before his injury.

Both are much better players than nyambe. But the big test would have been to see how he fared without lenihan holding his hand.

Interesting situation at Wigan. The players are now on strike and say they will remain so until they get their wages, even then the next months wage is due 7/4/23 so they might end up not completing their fixtures. If that happens, they fold and their points may be deleted from the record. Should that happen we will only lose 1point! Better still boro will lose 6, sheff utd 3, Luton 3 and millwall 1. Sheff utd and millwall having Wigan still to play.

An interesting prediction tool from Lancs live. Guess all the championship results left this season and it predicts the final places. I’ve just done it and Boro finish second with Sheff Utd third and us fourth. If that was the case then we would meet Sheff Utd in a playoff final? Luton and Millwall taking 6th and 5th places respectively.

I believed 3rd play 6th and 4th play 5th?

Luton currently 1 up at home to Watford.

Hard to know what is best for Rovers. A defeat for the hornets would keep them at bay - as a host of clubs are still looking to sneak 6th (or even 5th) place.

Mutual decision it's being reported. Is there ever such a thing in football management?

Not in my opinion, its just another word for sacked. Maybe there's a trade off done where the manager sacrifices some of his contract pay-out for the club calling it that. Either way McCarthy had won 2 in 14 and was definitely taking them down, so they had to do it IMO.

Seems Reading are just as much a racist club as us! :joy: Have Oliver Holt and Darren Lewis attempted to smear them as a racist club yet?

Getting interesting now. I still think we will make the playoffs but regardless it’s been a fantastic first season for JDT.

I think I'd much rather stay at Norwich if I was him.
