Lost 2-0 but i thought it was a decent preformance .Really liked Garrett even though he was stuck out on the left.We play decent football but 2 mistakes led to the goals. On to Norwich

Unlucky lads we weren’t outplayed and I reckon we should have had two penalties.

Pickering was outplayed ODB! Sterling took him to the cleaners.... but he does that to lots of premier league defenders doesn't he?

As for finishing! Absolutely dreadful finishing from Harry Leonard and Sigurdsson who should both have hit the target. At least Leonard did aim for inside the far post but wtf was going on in Sigurdsson's mind I cannot begin to guess.

I went last night as a corporate guest of an old friend a Chelsea fan.

As Drog said the finishing by Sigurdsson was dreadful, he took too many touches and then left himself under pressure for a poor shot. If there was VAR we would have had two penalties, no doubt about it. However Chelsea never really pushed into 3rd gear, they controlled much of the game and if Sterling was minded to pass rather than go for glory we would have been battered.

How will we ever compete against the likes of Chelsea? £410M in the starting 11 and 2
£200M on the bench. The area is surrounded by wealth and the ground is immediately adjacent to some posh hotels (who pay rent to Chelsea) full of ’fans’ from around the World visiting for the ‘Chelsea Experience’. All we have is the Footy Curry (closed the last two games) and Finch Bakery to pay us some minuscule rent.

A big round of applause to our fans who were magnificent compared to the library of Chelsea fans. However not every song needs to be about Burnley.

That Chelsea commentator might have been advised to learn one or two of the rovers players names too. Very unprofessional.
Just to add, what a great ball from Hill to set up Leonard for his poor finish. He really has a top right foot.

I was pleased with the performance. Two individual errors cost us. We didn’t take our chances and the referee failed to give the crucial decisions. Great following. How quiet are the Chelsea supporters. Didn’t seem to have a home end as such. Went there a few times in the 70’s. Talk about sanitising a ground the shed used to be loud and the north stand violent.

One thing that I do know is that Wahlstedt isn't good enough. wtf was he doing for the first goal? I've been playing and watching football for decades and I've never seen any keeper take a touch like he did for the first goal.

Just for info
Who do you rate as a good goal keeper?

Taking away all the peripheral stuff. Waggot and his commercial ineptitude. Venkies and just being them. The training ground fiasco.
I love this team 7 out of 11 last night where straight out of the academy. They put effort in and you can always see they care. On Saturday after his 2 missed chances Leonard wandered over in the direction of the riverside and he looked distraught because he cared.
Last night we all stayed to applaud the effort. We may not be the best we’ve ever been but the support and the team are one. It’s a far cry from the Bradley Orr , Danny Murphy days

Someone who prevents goals and doesn't facilitate them. That first goal was just unbelievable in it's execution.

Raya is a really top reaction gk until he has time to think. Current pressure of being at a top club and goofing up a number of times has reawakened the demons in his head imo. Confidence is massive in his case. I've a feeling David's salvation will be found on a psychiatrists couch and not necessarily on the training ground..... maybe we should pay for it?

I think Rovers fans tend to be harsh on keepers personally. I don't remember the fans particularly rating any keeper since Friedel (maybe he spoilt us), yet Steele, Raya and Kaminski have gone on to play in the PL.

Also I think Moran (was it?) should have done better at stopping the cross. The guy who crossed it (Gallagher I think?) took the short corner, it was 2v2, and Moran didn't get near him during Gallagher's journey to halfway inside our penalty area. Crossing from the by-line at that range gives the keeper/centre halves about half a second to react.

I think you are forgetting Sir Roger
He probably made his share of mistakes
All goalies do!
It's just these days we have access to re-run after re-run and every man and his dog can't wait to slaughter their confidence
The game has turned into a ridiculous level of expectation - and its killed the fun!!
I am getting to a point of hating the game and if it wasn't for a deep seated love of Blackburn Rovers I could happily walk away and never watch
