Just got home!!

Wow what a night and I was stone cold sober. I can understand the pitch invasion at the end, I just wished they stayed off the pitch for when the players and ToMo came out to celebrate. I understand there was a beam back to the Blues Bar last night; it was advertised at 10am and sold out before 2pm.

Let’s hope we get a good turn out for the Oxford game. The players and ToMo deserve it for the efforts they have put in this season.

Proud to be Rover
I take it Kate put you up for the night BB?

Me too but I have to say I was on the pitch before I'd even thought about it!
It was a great night and hopefully there will be plenty more in the future but we'll see. Unfortunately it's even less a level playing field now than it ever was.
I have to say that talking to many of my pals over recent weeks, what would we as Rovers fans prefer?
I'd like us to be truly competitive which would require significant investment but the general consensus was there hasn't been a more enjoyable season for 15 years. I can't argue in honesty.
I also spoke to my pal in USA last night who was thrilled that Rovers won and " bollocks to them bloody boogers from Burnley!" but they just don't get the concept of promotion and relegation and heritage attached to local clubs and what it all means.
Steve's an avid MB contributor, in the US world of franchises, I'd like to know what he thinks and whether our intrepid owners could have been sold a similar concept?
Anyway, enough said let's stuff the pie eating cnuts to the title!

I missed Kate, she didn’t turn up.

I did however get hugged by a guy with large breasts when Mulgrew scored. Not quite the same though.
How could she? She was down at the Blues Bar with me.

It was/still is a cracking season an I have enjoyed it immensely. If we can just pip Wigan to the title and stuff it up Cook it would put the cherry on the top for me.
Having said that I have the greatest respect for Shrewsbury and their manager Paul Hurst. They have pushed us all the way on a shoestring and I honestly wish them well in the playoffs. They deserve promotion and I hope they get it.

How many teams does that Cook manage?

Assuming I’m the Steve in question, I’m stoked about promotion. I’m doubly excited as there is a chance of winning the league. :)

I think it will cost more money to gain promotion to the PL. There is a world of difference between League One and the Championship. While I have no idea what Venkys will do, my best analysis is:

1. They have a lot of pride.
2. They have a lot of debt.
3. The only way they break even, regain pride, and win wider recognition for the Venkys’ brand is to return to the Premier League.
4. They trust and have confidence in Tony Mowbray as he’s proven himself by any reasonable standard.

Based on the foregoing, I think they’ll spend and will take Mowbray’s advice when, where, how much, and who to spend it on.

I could be 100% wrong on all of the above.

Personally, if it weren’t for the debt, I’d be content in the Championship (which is different from, and lesser than, the Champions League if any residents of the subcontinent are reading). I really enjoyed this season. But objectively, the PL is where the money is at, and the club’s best interest dictates we get back there sooner rather than later (and so we can put the screws to Burnley). But we need 3-6 more (and better) players to have a real prospect and they will cost.

That's the only logic I can see for them retaining ownership Steve and I really hope you are right. Having said that we all know Venkys and logic.

The only reason they retain ownership allegedly is to keep Interpol and taxmen worldwide at bay .

Apparently some Arse keeps reporting the stream. Wanker!
I was also a victim of this and rumour has it that it was a b***ley fan although I don’t know how somebody would know that. Anyway when they play their Europa League away games next season we can return the compliment and report any streams which appear!

Evil bugger me lol
