Just watched a special report on this, you right if they want to then fine but as Lon as it has no affect on the other leagues as I fear it will, the devalue of the leagues will begin and all the money will head that way with players trying to get to teams in that league, the only plus is more people at local teams as the likes of man u , city, Liverpool and others playing in far away lands means no one will see them play away

What a big girls blouse. First he goads the supporters in an intense Edinburgh derby after a goal has been disallowed then when he's hit by a coin he goes down writhing on the ground! Sure it could have gone in his eye but it didn't did it? In fact in his interview since as he threatens to quit the game (Neil... either shit or get off the pot) he doesn't even have a mark! I know I shouldn't laugh but... :grinning::laughing::joy:.
Questions I want answered is
1. Did the ref red card the entire section of supporters in the stand?
2. Did Lennon get the penalty?

Rather puts into perspective what society has descended to in the week that sees the 100 year anniversary of the end of WW1.

Didn’t he also threaten to quit the game when someone posted him a bullet?

I could have understood that reaction a lot more if they'd posted him the coin and hit him with the bullet!

Hmmmm this is a backhander. The biggest point in the eternal 'whose best Messi v Ronaldo' argument is that Messi has never played anywhere else other than for Barcelona in a team that has been made for his talents. He's usually bombed when playing for Argentina so playing for a team designed around him who enjoy so much time in possession and attack must be a massive benefit for any attacker of quality.
In the nicest possible way but in words laden with barbs Ronaldo has put down a challenge which he no doubt hopes would see messi move and his talent exposed. Messi's agent will be incandescent with rage.

"I've played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal and for my national team, while he's still in Spain.

"Maybe he needs me more. For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make people happy.

"He's a fantastic player and a good guy, but I don't miss anything here. This is my new life and I'm happy.

"I left my comfort zone and took on this challenge here in Turin. Everything has gone well, I've proven I'm still an incredible player."

Football history is littered with such. He's better looking cool and advertising Renault cars although he'll prob get a job as a pundit like many ex players who then progress to become failed managers.

Probably not WB but unless the linesman was the same one that we had v Stoke on Saturday you'd have been given offside!
I can only assume that the offside issue prompted him to have that 'brain freeze' moment.

So Spurs triumph over City in what must have been a marvellous spectacle (tbqh I forgot it was on) with a result heavily influenced by VAR. As far as I can see both decisions were correct but I'd imagine that's dealt a massive blow to the chances of an English club winning the Champions League this year despite the Prem providing half of the clubs in the quarter finals.
I guess at the end of the day that a team no matter how exciting and how much they resemble the footballing equivalent of eye candy which lets in 3 goals at home when the chips are down will be destined to fail at the highest level.

Neymar imo being one of the players to suffer most from VAR.

All the checks and tests modern day professional footballers undergo, all the monitoring equipment they wear and still it's difficult to predict such attacks. Not much hope for the rest of us when we go to the Docs for checks is there?

On to the match, they spewed it didn't they? Missing one fairly simple chance and an absolute sitter which could have made it 3-2 at that level means they will get what they deserve. Also a 70m+ keeper showing 2/3rds of his goal to Lionel Messi just tells me that they overpaid massively for him. 3-0 flatters the spaniards on the overall match but the only stats that matter are goals.

Bitter sweet night for the mickeys as they must lament losing Suarez but getting 140m for Coutinho (as I thought at the time) was the sale of the decade. He is the original scorer of great goals and not a great scorer of goals. Big difference.
