That’s an inspiring quote and the words should be carved onto a stone/marble plaque and fixed to the outside wall of the Blackburn End .Morten Gamst Pedersen (May, 2011),: "The eleven who are so lucky that they get the honor to represent the proud blue and white shirt with the beautiful red rose will fight as if it was about life. For that is what it is all about, the life of the club in our hearts! Blackburn Rovers are not lucky because they have good players on the team, good players are lucky because they play for Blackburn Rovers. COYB!"
Football fans always seem to have a scapegoat. The first one I remember was Malcolm Darling . As a young lad I was puzzled why some of our fans were giving one of our own players stick instead of the opposition .Great servant. I still get a bad taste in my mouth when I think back to the treatment meted out to him by some of our know nowts in the crowd. Why do some always have to have a hate figure / scapegoat? Especially when based on irrational and ignorant thought processes.
With a copy in either the Home dressing room or the Tunnel! That’s an inspiring quote and the words should be carved onto a stone/marble plaque and fixed to the outside wall of the Blackburn End .
Poor Malc was OK. Quick but a bit of a lightweight, he and Johnny Byrom had an impossible task replacing Fred Pick and Andy McEvoy especially with age and injury catching up fast on Duggy.Football fans always seem to have a scapegoat. I'd chip for that idea, but would include the quote above the door of the home change room. That’s an inspiring quote and the words should be carved onto a stone/marble plaque and fixed to the outside wall of the Blackburn End .
