I reckon it's a par score & South Africa have a strong batting line up . Should be a good game . Much rather watch this than that non - entity of a cup final in Stockholm

Good win for England . I've still reservations about our bowling but we have a team that has the best chance of winning a major trophy ( Champions Trophy ) for sometime .

We need to get more kids playing & watching cricket Abbs and for today's kids with attention spans of a gnat , that means T20 franchises , I'm afraid , but hopefully some shown on free to air TV

Sadly I witnessed that debacle. All we heard throughout the day from fellow Lancastrians and bog trotters was WHY are Lancs batting first, it's mental, etc.

Well done Croft and his advisors. We're a team renowned for having a useless top order so we choose to bat on a wicket which is known to swing in overcast conditions.

I still can't see why captain fantastic has been promoted to no 4 when his averages had been declining over last five years. The root of our mediocrity I guess.

Got back from holiday yesterday & then spent the afternoon at the Roses game. Lancs bowlers did as good a job as they could . Adam Lythe completed an excellent century for Yorks and he was the difference . Looking like a 10 wicket defeat . As Matt says , dreadful decision to bat first. I wonder , hope I'm proved wrong , but is Glen Chappell a David Dunn type appointment.? A good club man and fan's favourite but not sure if he's top coach material.

Big blow for the England bowling unit losing Chris Woakes to injury. I'd have gone for Stuart Broad but they've replaced him with Steven Finn . I'm worried that our bowling has now gone from average to less than average . Lots of pressure on our excellent batting unit to score big from hereonin .
