I agree. He defensive work is fantastic. The only thing he lacks is confidence, Rovers should have employed a good ‘shrink’ to work alongside him.

That should just be an extra as it was with Shearer (and also with Harry Kane). What we need is a 6ft 4" No 9 to be feared up top and not a sick note with poor positional sense. As a striker he's been a massive waste of big money. If I could go back 5 years I think 1m and no more than 10k pw would have been easily enough.
