Always the case in football and it applies even more as the standard rises. If you don't take opportunities you'll get bitten on the arse. That said Podolski's goal was a blinder! Unstoppable is the best description. That said the bugger should be playing for Poland!

I don't have much of an issue with people adopting other nationalities as it's the way Countries operate these days. Just wish some of them would move to Scotland!

Couldn't agree more but can't help but feel England are mostly at fault for me disliking international footy. Or more specifically modern English footballers and the same old guff they serve up.

Friendlies - cruise control, qualifiers - clinical, tournaments - diabolical. Hasn't changed in 10 years regardless of the manager or team. No passion, loyalty or mental strength whenever it really matters.
