Lincoln's a lovely city for a stopover stay too with the cathedral and castle to explore and one or two nice bars and restaurants. Nice folk too, not like the dregs of the earth that seem to form the majority of modern day Blackburnians. God only knows why we have so many from the Indian sub-continent and eastern europe cos it's a right old shithole and if I was looking to travel thousands of miles to live Blackburn would be very close to the bottom of my list.

Lincoln also has some lovely old pubs. Their visiting fans will have a culture shock visiting the delights of Blackburn.

The Castle? We stayed there, great location but I have to say that it was just functional rather than remarkable.

I didn’t think it was remarkable but the beds had just the right ‘give and bounce’ for a bit of playful rumpy pumpy.
