Some people are so in the habit of watching terrestrial Tv anything on BBC or ITV will get viewers. Some kinds of trash Tv aren't bad (many movies for instance are mindless entertainment but very watchable) but this is just lowest common denominator rubbish. Typical programming for ITV then. I think Big Brother in the very beginning was at least a social experiment before they started taking in more and more outlandish personalities. I sometimes watched it at the start (though I haven't done that for a while) and it was great for the first week in 2006 because one of the contestants was genuinely hilarious. Admittedly he clearly had mental health problems (threatened to kill himself though it was towards the end of his stay not right from the beginning) so maybe it was wrong to feel entertained by some of his antics and pissing off the other housemates. After he left though...zzzz. I couldn't care less if anyone sleeps together or not which seems to be the main talking point.
The jungle show I've never watched. Most of the "celebrities" in those are Z-list for a reason or are just unpleasant people. As for X-Factor at least its a talent search and the auditions are sometimes amusing. I don't have any particular interest in watching the show once its in the final stages and haven't really watched any auditions in recent years either. Britain's Got Talent is better since there's more variety but likewise I haven't watched anything from it recently.
