Tell you what pisses me off....mard arse head teachers shutting schools for a dusting of snow. Blimy when I was a nipper we used to have to walk through massive snow drifts thru abbey and withnell ..heard some mard arse teacher saying she couldn't get from Manchester to Nelson today...what a load of bollox , I've done Leeds n back today ,granted a bit arse twitchy at times but doable. Dock their chuffin pay.
Desperate lack of responsibility by the education authorities. Weird and maybe a sign of the times that no one takes them to task over it. I can understand teachers from a distance not being able to get to their places of work but most kids live locally as do many teachers. When I was at school the school was never ever closed through bad weather in the entire 14 years that I was there.
If any kids choose to arrive at the school gates because.....
a. They've already set off and arrived.
b. Because they CAN get there.
OR
c. Because parents have gone in to work and there is no one home to look after them.
Then imo the school has a duty of care to open and receive them.

How many so called ‘drivers’ can reverse? That is the real issue Gordon.
My last two cars btw have had excellent reversing cameras. You can reverse spot on (must have been designed for lady drivers methinks) whilst: making love; lighting a cigar; having a shave or removing gel nails. WOW!!
