Can someone at Brockhall take Travis to one side and tell him how to shoot first time without needing 1/2/3 touches first! Spurned chances all afternoon !!!
2-0 now. Plymouth not being scared shitless like our lot to take a shot.

Sympathy for the fans who missed a nice warm Saturday to drive all that way to watch an utterly shite display from their team. These points are gone now to a team that are pretty poor overall imo.

Gutted, but before people go over board, just look at the other results in the C'ship today. I know we're only really interested in the Rovers but there really is very little between all the sides in this division and anyone can get a pasting, or indeed give a pasting, to anybody - just ask the Southampton fans.

I'm not sugar coating it, today was obviously very poor, but before people get their razor blades out they should remember the run we had 2 season's ago after the Fulham tubbing.

Feel like shit but it could be worse, before we fling our arms around and profess we're the worst run club in the world, look at Boro or Derby or Sheff Wed or loads of other clubs that are having it worse.

Have a break, hopefully get a few players fit and bounce back against Boro. That'll be a real toughy but I've faith we can do it.

COYB.

I only listened on the radio and we seemed to be playing very well till we conceded. At Harrogate we scored 8 goals from our first 10 shots on target.Today we could have played till the cows come home before we scored.
Its international break now and we can get on the grass and get our new players up to speed.Said on the radio Gally looked injured when he went off, lets hope this Kraut is the answer to our prayers.
Next game is boro who cannot buy a win, we need to bounce back but i fear it wont be easy.

I think I said it several times last season….if you don’t take your chances someone else will do it. I would say we are a better team overall compared to Plymouth but they took their chances and leaves us with zero points from this game.
Hedges miss….oh my 😣

FT report as only just got back with no show bus!
Plymouth took their 3 chances we huffed and puffed all game. We played some lovely football up to the 6 yard box and then nothing at the end of it. Gally went off with a hamstring injury and Leonard offers even less so hope this German lad hits the ground running.
It’s difficult to pick a MOM but I suppose Carter made fewest mistakes.
It was brilliant to be back behind the goal with the other 1,133 away fans. Fascinating to people watch with family groups, elderly couples etc. all with the same feeling for Rovers.
As Drog said I felt sorry for the ones travelling back up north.

I thought we played really attractive football today and their first took a massive deflection although pears may have gone down to early. Difficult to make a constructive assessment of the other two as I had the blazing sun in my face.
We need to start as individuals to take responsibility and shoot. Goals win games and no matter how pretty the patterns if you don’t shoot you won’t score.
I’m not sure what the training ground instructions are but it can’t be try and walk it in.
In conclusion not the worst I felt after a 3 v0 defeat. Then again I may have sunstroke

Memo to JDT.......

Funny how a former top european striker allows his team to piss about 'over footballing' in and around the opposition's penalty box isn't it? All strikers love quick play and early delivery to catch defenders disorganised / facing their own goals / loose marking etc so it would be logical to believe that JDT would concentrate on coaching that. Plymouth shot when they had a sniff of an opening and scored three goals. Am I being unfair to believe that our lot would not have scored Plymouth's 3rd goal in a month of Sundays?

It has been the same all season, and last season, when we should have a shot and try to walk it in instead. Even at Harrogate we were guilty of this and should have easily have scored 10+ goals.

What about the bloody corners? The short version that we seem to favor all the time leads mostly to nothing. Didn't we recruit a set-pieces coach for this recently?

You’re right Robin. The number of times yesterday the ball gets played short and 3 players play a triangle which invariably gets intercepted. The only corner that came over second half saw Carter head narrowly wide.
