Why isn't the Northern phase of HS2 being built first?Cummings is from the north , Rishi Sunak represents a northern constituency . No 10 and No 11 will work together with the aim of prioritising the north , especially with regard to spending on infrastructure . The first government to do that in my lifetime . Membership of the EU project resulted in London and the South East growing at the expense of the North .
Yes I thought that from the start . Why didn’t they start in Manchester and Leeds and then build ‘ HS2b’ from Birmingham to London? Apparently a rail ‘ expert’ said that building it that way would create a bottleneck at Birmingham with big numbers of passengers from Manchester and Leeds getting off and using existing line/s to get to London . Not sure how valid that argument is , but I’m no rail expert . Very rarely use the trains .Why isn't the Northern phase of HS2 being built first?
Most people will be dead (or certainly have forgotten) by the time the money runs out and that part is either cancelled or downgraded to the cheaper (and slower) tracks.
Maybe that's the plan after all?
These reports never seem to mention migration from outside of the EU, which has gone up.Blue sky thinking here !

Like with our beloved Blue and White Halves, always look at the positives MM2 . The Tories kept out Crackpot Corbyn and his anti - Semite , hard left cult at the last election, oh and the one before that too !These reports never seem to mention migration from outside of the EU, which has gone up.
The Tories will just replace any leaving Europeans with cheap labour from outside the EU. Those that voted for Brexit on the grounds of becoming more British and taking the country back will soon see it's just a fallacy.
End result: A less European and more 3rd World UK. Hurrrahhh!
