I’m starting to get really concerned about this season now. Maybe I should not expect too much as we don’t have much money for transfers and hopefully we won’t be the only club with this problem. Lots of staff leaving and accordingly to reports it’s business as usual on the football field. Don’t wanna spread negative feelings but it doesn’t look good at the moment, does it?

After saying that - I posted earlier that it wasn't straight forward buying a ticket (I nearly gave up)
A friend of mine rang ticket office today and he was saying that the "hold" message was about four years old!!

WTF is going on behind the scenes? and where the fuck is Waggott?

Just a reminder that rovers execs and directors were in the top six paid for the league in the last set of accounts.

What has waggott done apart from alienating and reducing commercial income in his time here?

This has a feel of SK/JA and the initial plan to run us into the ground.
It's hard to fathom miss management on this scale other than to think it's a long term strategy.
If it is - the end game isn't pretty for us fans!

It is where we are heading given the finances of lower league football and given a. the decline in popularity of provincial clubs, and b. the changing demography of post industrial northern towns. I simply see it as a matter of time.... if we are lucky enough to find any other club to amalgamate with.
Where do you see the direction and changes of the club in the future given that a place in the Championship appears to be well above our 'pay grade' as it were?

I can only see smaller clubs surviving as proper affiliated feeder clubs to the big 8/10 European super League clubs
Most small clubs will just go to the wall as less and less kids take any real active interest in football.
Then you might get new franchises popping up (Lancashire Utd maybe) who see a chance to earn a bob or two but they won't last long unless they have ridiculous financial clout or can hit the ground running and cement themselves with the elite.
The European superleague will happen soon for sure - they just need clubs to start folding to give it some credence as a survival plan/option

I am not looking forward to this tonight, £15 is a lot to pay to get even more depressed. Mind you we have a thunderstorm due at kick-off time so that may help the players tear up the playing surface.
