As I'm up in Scotland and couldn't go to today's match, the prediction table is updated before most of you will have got home :)

0-0 is never a popular pick, so no surprises that nobody scored 5 points.
SLKS, Steve W and ARA re the 2 point winners with the latter pair joining the pack on 6 points breathing down the neck of OOT.

So, having gone a few weeks with no 5-pointers, last night saw two of them.
Well done to Drog and OOT (his crystal ball is now back from the cleaners obviously!)
A few more 2 point hauls around as well and the rest of us get to try again on Saturday.

Bit fortunate I only remembered in the nick of time 7.44! I was busy and I nearly missed the bloody kick off!

New predictions table.

Not surprisingly, nobody went for a 3-2 WBA win, although Steve W came close.
BB's late change of heart gained him 2 points, alongside SLKS, ARA and Steve W.
It's bunching up quite nicely at the top, which I can just about see if I look up as far as I can :(

Interesting that 5 correct results (very well done chaps) is still 4 points behind OOT with just 2. A similar situation in the UEFA spots between me n' BB and ODB. I'm not asking for a rule change (obviously) but is there too much reward for a rather 'jammy' correct score prediction perhaps?

If enough people think a rule change is needed, I will do it.
It's still early enough in the season.

Post your suggestions (if any) on here and I will set up a poll and see what the most popular is.

Nothing too complicated though, please ;)

Not thought this through properly tbh but it's just a question of fiddling about with the points isn't it? e.g. 3 points for the result and 4 for the correct score would give that table a very different and probably more realistic look imo...... even though it would currently drop me 2 places down the table.

I kind of agree with a slight tweek ( but I would)
Last season I think I predicted as many results correct as OOT but finished up miles away point wise because of correct scores
But it's just a bit of fun so I'm happy with what the majority want

I was thinking along the same lines as currently there is too much of a points gap between correct result and correct score, a 2 point gap would be OK as a correct score is what most aim for ;)

In the event of a tie at seasons end, we really need to revert to it being decided by alphabetical order. And I need to change my user name to 'A AllRoverAsia" :)

At this point I'd say in the event of a tie that scores gained in cup matches count double!:D

Three points for a correct result with an extra point for predicting the correct score would be a good idea.

I've now created a poll.
It will be open until Monday at which point I will either change the points system or we will continue as we have been.
