So many of us had the correct score at one point or another but in the end, AllRoverAsia was the only one to nail it.

I predicted 3-0 and in an odd sort of way I'd have preferred that! The entire pub went from leaping about in joy to drowning their sorrows in 5 minutes! An agonising turn of events.

What a sparkling debut, I say with more than a tinge of regret and an early morning "hair of the dog" double G&T. Much too early for pints of beer.

A few of us backed the blades to win this one and with 20 minutes to go I was cautiously optimistic that we would all be wrong
and those brave enough to forecast an away win might be rewarded.
It wasn't to be though and the plaudits go to Only One Tugay who got the score bang on and ends 2018 at the top of the table all on his own.

My gamble on an explosive away win as a reaction to recent results was doomed to failure the minute the manager selected Brereton up top. Oh well. At least I anticipated correctly the dropping Graham and Dack and selection of Rothwell and Travis.

Thanks for your work on this WB - I would say that !

My status is purely down to realising that Leeds and Sheffield United were games too far after that morale sapping defeat against Norwich . I guess it’s easy to predict away defeats against top four teams .

We mustn’t get too disheartened . New to this league , finding our feet - setbacks against the top 4 , especially away , aren’t the end of the world .

I have to doff my cap to OOT, it's been quite a week for him. Finds out he's going to be a grandad, gets the score right on New Year's Day and then gets the score right again last night, to make it three correct score predictions in a row
Probably won the lottery as well
So well done OOT but THAT IS ENOUGH - you're 8 points in front.
Well done to Amo, who also got the correct score and Steve W who predicted a draw. The rest of us must do better!

Thanks for keeping this going, WB. But shouldn't it be 2 correct results for moi?

No, you only get either 2 points for the correct result or 5 points for the correct score - you can't have both you greedy sod

Bugger! Last night whilst I was watching the final stages of the match I was quite suited because I thought I'd gone for a 1-2 away win. Just checked and I did....... and then I changed it to a 2-2!

Sorry for the delay in the predictions table but I plead extenuating circumstances and I've also been working today in NYC

Anyway, nobody got a magic 5 pointer this weekend and, shock horror, OOT got nothing
Nobody who predicted the away win had the faith in our defence's ability to keep a clean sheet (why??)

BTW, there will be predictions running for the Newcastle replay - I will mention it on the match thread too.
