Spurs 1-Chelsea 4 . Fantastic spectacle only made safe by two Chelsea goals in the 94th and 97th minute after spurs went down to 9 men. I think there were 4 or 5 goals disallowed in the match. Loads of var incidents, postecoglou booked. Spurs were like the light brigade at times and applauded off. Watch it if u can.

Watched it live. Nine separate VAR investigations which took ages, totally spoiling the game. I don’t know why we bother with referees on the pitch now.

Spoiling the game? Really? It was wonderful entertainment. I'd wager you are in a minority of one on that score. Best and most exciting Prem match I've seen in a long time.

btw How many resulted in a wrong decision? Getting them right is the main thing.

Make that two Drog.
Football, for all its officiating flaws, was a better spectacle before VAR.
Discussion has gone from refereeing "errors" to a prolonged wait for VAR to make a decision.
Gone has the immediacy of a decision to uncertainty in waiting for VAR.

Helps stymy homer refs and especially at the big clubs. How many times were we victims of bad decisions v Man U and Lpool etc?

Do you actually listen to what ex players say in the media?

How about that Ref at City blowing up for a foul instead of allowing play on after a foul on Haaland when Grealish was clean through on goal in the last minutes? Bizarre decision that even var could not have helped.

Yes. Mr Haaland was somewhat perturbed. That VARs use wasn’t applicable there anyway.

Luton supporters singing Kaminski's name. We've provided two very good 'keepers to the Premier League in recent years. Ben Benson and his team deserve every credit rather than the tripe and jibes you see aimed at them in some quarters. Just a shame we couldn't have commanded more than £7m for the pair, but we've profitted and both occasions I suppose (and could yet profit more with them if sell-on clauses come into effect).

Well I hate to say it but slight sympathy for Burnley, getting the exact treatment from refs in the PL that we're getting in the Championship. The first yellow for Berger was extremely harsh, and that was never a penalty in a million years.

You can't give a penalty just because a defender has a heavy touch, a striker nips in, and then the striker goes down for contact that would make a ladybird landing on you feel excessive.

Appalling decisions, just like we're getting. Refs are going into games with the mindset that the bigger club should win, and they're there to facilitate that. It really is appalling.

Didn't see it but that is the sort of thing that var should be cutting out. The tech is fantastic the interpretation is unfortunately fallible because it's down to the human element. Doing away with the tech and relying solely on the human element would be dinosaur thinking.

Drog, If I want to watch football in a natural element, it should be done without VAR.
Football is a game played by humans, officiated by humans.
Humans are not infallible, and that is part of the game, accept it and move on.
If I wanted to watch a game that was "correct", then I could watch some computerized version.
As it is, VAR is missing as much as it "finds".

Disagree. VAR gets much more right than wrong but nobody mentions it. Take Luton's disallowed goal yesterday, a wonderful goal BUT Doughty WAS offside. You won't know that though cos no one mentioned it.

.... btw Chelsea's Cole Palmer is going to be some player! I can see him and Jude Bellingham being a real attacking midfield partnership for England. He's been at Citeh was born in Wythenshawe and then sold to Chelsea. Pep must be fuming!
