Shocking but he should now be kicking his brother across the room too!

He should be finished in English football... animal cruelty is the absolute pits in my opinion and exposes disturbing psychological issues. Will Gold and Sullivan sack him? Somehow I don't see it. But if I was a WHAM player I wouldn't be sharing a dressing with him - they've got a big issue to sort there.

The video. Now I’m not a cat lover but I’m disgusted. I also hope that social services are involved as it clearly shows a small child helping him by picking the kitten up and putting it on the table for him to hit it. What message does this send out to the child and is the child being brought up correctly?

It should but it seems like nothing will be done.

Me neither. £30 million quid from Chelsea on a 4 year contract just last August. I can't see WHU sacking him and spewing that lot, no matter how much of their fortune that Gold and Sullivan owe to pussies.

He is in their starting eleven tonight.

Disgraceful decision by WHU and Moyes. Completely advocates and trivialises animal cruelty. I watched the first 10mins and was amazed to see every single WHU player give Zouma a big kiss and a cuddle before the game kicked off in their typical pre-match rituals. I couldn't look the c*nt in the eye, never mind hug him.

Moyes desperately tried to justify his decision by citing it is as a 'non-football' issue that would be dealt with internally... who's he kidding? He'd have been better coming clean and saying 'Honestly, I care more about the Champions League and my bonus than I do about the basic human morality and ethics of my players.... Fuck the cat'

Another huge step backwards from basic moral principles for the Premier League and professional football.

According to Radio 5live this morning both Surrey Police and the RSPCA are dealing with the matter. Good.

One wonders sometimes how low football’s moral principles can sink . Hold the World Cup in a country where male guardianship restricts women’s rights and where the sponsorship laws mean modern slavery . After last night it’s obvious on top of women’s rights in certain parts of the world and the basic human rights of workers , football doesn’t care about animal cruelty either .

However it’s all OK because said players take the knee , virtue badges are stitched to shirts and anti- racism messages are played over the loud speakers . The hypocrisy of professional football, its authorities and players knows no bounds .

Quite right too. It isn't an issue for WHU. Whether he was on drink or drugs is their only issue. As for Zouma he'll prob be banned from keeping animals and hopefully given a heavy fine etc too after it's dealt with bu the appropriate authorities.
Long term effects on the cat... perhaps it wont sleep on the furniture any more and the poor kid will have a guilt complex.

Cat's lucky it wasn't Son..... he'd prob have eaten it!

According to an employment lawyer on the radio it actually is an issue for WHU if an employees conduct adversely affects the image of the employer.

Indeed , potentially it’s a case of gross misconduct which depending on the circumstances could lead to summary dismissal. The offence would be classed under WHU’s disciplinary procedure as that of “ employee actions bringing the employer into disrepute “

However we can’t rely on WHU to do the right thing . They reportedly paid £30 million for Zouma , so that will affect any sanction they impose .

I’d argue Zouma hasn’t just brought WHU into disrepute but football in general. It’s a pity the Premier League can’t act but I doubt it’s in their rules . Perhaps the case filed in Paris will lead to a heavier sanction

It's 100% an issue for WHU and their response has been embarassing.
Rubbish! You smack a child or a dog to correct it, separate from the missus, ride a bike on the pavement, get done for speeding etc and it's no reflection on the company you work for.

Anyway the RSPCA have taken the cats off him and he's been fined two weeks wages by West Ham, which being about £250,000 is probably a good do for them as well.

I disagree. Moyes is there to win points and Zouma helped him win three last night.

If you smack a child nowadays you won't stay in your job either I wouldn't imagine - certainly not a high-profile one like a footballer!
As for riding a bike on a pavement or getting done for speeding... I know personally that you won't consider those to be a direct comparison to beating a pet for fun, so that's not an argument I'm afraid.

Most companies aren't global brands like West Ham. The decision to select him was an absurd one, even removing any sentiment for the animal. If it wasn't a reflection of the club 24 hours ago, it certainly is now. By selecting him Moyes trivialised and accepted Zouma's despicable behaviour. His interview after was an absolute joke... "As an animal lover I was very disappointed... He'll learn from it"... Pull the other one, you tosser - Imagine a 27 year old man having to learn not to abuse a harmless animal.

A joke decision and a complete misreading of the increasing ill-feeling towards the rotten bastard.
