I was chatting to a neighbour who went to this game and he said it should really have been double figures for Rovers.

The same neighbour has just dropped his ST after almost 60 years watching Rovers and now only watches the u18’s and u21’s.

Why? It'll be next to nothing now he's a pensioner. Also does a st get you into the academy matches?

Me too odb. We are a good footballing team to watch. Just galling to note that in this day and age the agents and bigger clubs frequently have us over a barrel. I recall and admired Crewe producing lot's of top players in the 80's and 90's (despite the onerous issues) and Burnley mining the North East for talent in the 60's and 70's.

I simply don't believe that. Sounds like it has a lot of VAT added-on - that Tomasson would specifically tell a group of elderly people to "f**ck off".

As usual, these things are one side of the story. People rarely do something like that without serious provocation.

I don't agree with the first paragraph there but do agree with the 2nd. JDT does one of the most stressful jobs in the world, you only see prime ministers age like football managers. Mourinho went from looking like James Bond to Ray Winstone in 15 years. Combine that stress with the adrenaline of match days and the hyper competitiveness of top level professionals, and I can believe he snapped at someone.

But I do agree he was probably provoked, and knowing the generally ridiculous expectation levels of Rovers fans, I assume it was some entitled moaning criticism about him or the players.
