The best of the bunch was Leni Cirano who was one of the best players I have seen come through our Academy, sadly he has been struggling after his long injury layoff. The one I would want to keep is Jay Haddow; he is focussed, tough and one hell of a tackler and ball player, I can’t believe we want to move him on.
Didn’t Haddow play preseason games last year for JDT?

He did. The lad comes from Hong Kong and has a Japanese mother; he has played for the Japan youth team.
So a player who looked decent in pre season, possible marketing commercial opportunities if he kicks on with Japan and rovers want to punt him. Shame all round really. Don’t think he’s even had a loan out in a man’s league?

There must be a good reason why he hasn't had a sniff at the first team. If there's one thing I can trust at Rovers it's bringing through our young players properly.

True. Does anyone have a player they highly rate coming through? Who should fans be keeping an eye on?

Rovers took up the option in Cirino's contract in summer. He'll be out of contract in summer.

Cirino is 20. He'll turn 21 later this month. A shame about his injuries but that's the cruelty of the game, particularly at such a young age. More of a shame that he's a Rovers supporter. I'd have to say that if he hasn't had much of a sniff at the first team by now, it's likely that he'll be let go in summer. I'm sure he'll pick up his career in the lower leagues and bounce back. Sounds like he has enough talent to do so.

To be fair though, have the club done enough to get him some competitive games?

Correction to the above. Ennis confirmed he did not have a touch for his first and it has been awarded to Batty instead who has therefore scored two 👍

Good news we have another game during the week which should mean Pears will be fit for sat.
I never thought that I would be pleased to welcome Pears back to the team but instead of flappy hands punchee, to the penalty spot and never catchee Wahlstedt he is a miracle maker.
I never want to see Wahlstedt in a Rovers shirt again.

We need Dolan fit asap! Our dreadful run began with two things imo.... his and Pears long injuries.
