I was going to start this thread by saying it was another dead rubber.
Should results elsewhere not go our way, however, it could well be the game that sees us dragged into the dogfight at the bottom.
This is the reverse fixture to the first game of the season, where we gave the cherries a run for their money and were unlucky not to get something from the match.
Fast forward a few months and we are a shadow of that opening day team.
Personally, I can't believe we have a man at the helm who has overseen 1 win in 13 and still has his job but that's for another thread.
Who he will pick for this match is anyone's guess.
Were we all to be sat in the stadium this cold afternoon, would we have anything to jump up and down or clap to keep us warm?
Or would we be relying on Bovril (or Bene for some)?

It is weird where that early season form has disappeared to.
I think the better teams come to play football, not bother about our style preferring to outgun us given that the only real goal threat is Armstrong and most top teams have two or more goal threats.
The poorer teams have now learned to press high and stop us building from the back. unfortunately as we don't have a plan B we don't appear able to overcome that tactic very easily, all too often getting bogged down, dropping our tempo to a plod and succumbing to a sucker punch.
It's a conundrum that won't be solved until we have more players capable of scoring regularly or even contributing to the team effort and a midfield enforcer capable of bossing the midfield. It's fair to say perhaps that we played better before Trav was injured, before Johnson's excellent early season form submitted to a few added pounds after his injury and during Davenport's brief spell of fitness.

I've given up. It appears that we have no better than dumb and dumber so 2 - 0 to Bournemouth.

1-2 and the WB warning about getting sucked into the relegation zone to become a reality

I think we are going to be safe, but again, in agreement with WB, any other manager at any other team would have paid for this abysmal form with his job.
IMO there are no excuses -all teams suffer injuries and suspensions and have to deal with them.
Our "top" (based on fees paid) strike force!! are fit and well so the blame can only fall on one persons - TM!!

Will the Cherries blossom?
Will the Rovers turn up?
Can I be arsed?
What will Tony blame the result on?

1-2 to them lot from the posh part of the South coast.

I’ve tried to be positive all season , but I’m now running out of steam . Without Dack and Armstrong it’s a tough ask to predict a win . Where are the goals going to come from ? Whose going to turn possession into points ?

Hope above hope we get one and we’re one closer to 50 .

The Famous Blue and White Halves 0

Bournemouth 0

Up the Rovers.

Quick and small trio on top. Can they get themselves together and score goals today? 2-1 to Rovers.

He's dropped the leg irons! After Fri they wouldn't even make my bench. I'd have a couple of the U23's on.

I was actually at the game the last time we played Bournemouth at home a few years back. Does anyone remember? We were absolutely cruising the game after blasting them away in the first 20 odd minutes of the game yet in true Bowyer style we ended up almost hanging on for the nail biting win near the end.

It´s tough now. Without dumber and dumber up front we will actually pose a goal threat. Though of course our idiotic and boring ticky tacky possession doesn´t play to the strengths of pacey attackers like Dolan and Armstrong.
With Bournemouth having a lot to play for, they need the 3 points far more than we do which may help us out a bit.

We are due a win at some stage to keep the monoTony going, however letting the heart rule the head is pure stupidity in the prediction league. 1-2 to The Cherries but without our cherry on top (which would be the immediate post match sacking of the Coventry three mafia).
"We only lost by one goal" repeat till death.

Someone that was even more bored and dismayed with the current Rovers shit-up has given me their iFollow log-in details before their cancelled season ticket subscription ends on 16th April. But the big question is, can I endure 2 free games of shit roasting numbness?
