Preston will be buzzing a bit after their statement of intent signing (Scott Sinclair).
He's got a pretty decent goals return for a winger at this level (Scottish Prem) of 40 goals in 105 games.

Meanwhile we are all down in the dumps with our main goalscorer out for a year and 2 poor main strikers - one who is league 1 at best and another that looks like he's playing the wrong sport.

Bad times.

According to Radio Lancs earlier he may even make his debut against us, oh great.

I am still sticking with that 2-2 prediction though.

Sinclair has played less than 200 minutes all Season so I guess he will be on the bench for PNE.

If he was our player we wouldn't see him for at least 3 months and only then if he had fully converted to Mowbrayism.

Other than Tugay, we haven't had a great deal of success with Old Firm cast-offs have we?

Joe Craig, Ally Dawson, Lorenzo Amoruso, and who can for get the homesick Scot, wee Barry Ferguson? I don't follow PNE too closely, but I remember they took Aiden McGeadey on loan a few years back (not directly from Celtic admittedly) and he rewarded them by becoming their player of the year and scoring in the last seconds against us to deny us a rare three points at Deepdale.

Where am I going with this? PNE are struggling of late, like us. They have just signed Scott Sinclair from Celtic. He's the type of player that journalists like to describe as a "mercurial talent" - something of a latter day Peter Barnes, who never quite fulfilled his early promise. There's no doubting his quality though. We have just lost Bradley Dack until the end of the year. We're firing blanks and look clueless. PNE have just received a boost., whether Sinclair makes it on to the pitch today or not.

I was going to go go 2-3 Preston, but two struggling teams usually = draw. So 2-2 today for me.

SLKS, I remember Barry Ferguson, the little s**t.

I found out from as estate agent in Lytham that BF had put his house on the market around 3 months before he said he wanted out from Rovers. I wonder how much he made from those transfers in and out of Rovers?
