It is great to see all the maintenance work at Ewood at long last.

Over the last few weeks power washing has been taking place all round the ground including the front of the BBE and JW. The steelwork on top of the 3 newer stands was also being cleaned in the last week.

The steel steps at the back of the jwu desperately need the rust blasting off and repainting.

Just watching Manu v Villa in Perth.
They've had a heap of rain over the last couple of days, and it's a wonderful sight watching footballers playing on a sodden pitch with short studs.
They might as well be playing on ice, with skates on.
Been impressed with Villas winger Baily.

Apparently the MU err 'fans' in the crowd ('experts being an even more sarcastic description perhaps?) showed their ignorance by booing Harry Maguire when the teams were announced over the tannoy. It's become a regular thing and could destroy the lad's confidence good and proper. Types like that are proper bastards aren't they?
Unfortunately we have em too as the likes of Tim Sherwood, Jason Wilcox, MGP etc etc will testify. Actually the term should prob be 'had' because I guess those types will have stopped going long ago.

Quite enjoyable so far and some nice sharp passing but the ball movement upfield has been too slow and our final ball is poor.

Ash Phillips and Hayden Carter look excellent. Dack understandably rusty whilst BBD looks lost. We do need to stop losing possession via silly mistakes.

HT is 0-0. It has been a reasonable test. Our forward line caught offside at least 5 times on what were all promising moves. 5 times too many

Not a great deal happening yet.
Impressed with Adam Wharton in midfield and Hedges with Travis working hard.
Frustrating up front. BBD having a poor game with his touch. Dack is very rusty and not yet match fit. The defence looks ok but this playing out from the back is stressing me out. Phillips looks assured for a 17 year old. Going to be a top player I’m sure.

Most positive thing for me is Dack is moving properly
Not like last season where he looked like he had shit himself. We need him fit - he is the only player on the park with a quick thinking first time ball in his repertoire.
Ash Phillips is running the back line and hasn't misplaced a pass. He moves the ball - then moves himself (and quickly) to be available
