That all depends whether we can find a half decent striker in the next month. We are going down or going to be right there. Sad to day
That's been obvious fo two seasons and it's very remiss of the recruitment team that we STILL haven't got one. Gally, try as he may, will never fulfill that task. That all depends whether we can find a half decent striker in the next month.
True goals was behind my mind. Still think Adam Wharton is going to be out player of the yearThat all depends whether we can find a half decent striker in the next month.
Cocks?Keeping the cocks going in the stadium. Wow, that is revolutionary stuff from the EFL muppets.
I'm regularly baffled by the criticism Waggott gets. Every interview I see of him he's excellent. He tells the fans the truth in a straight-forward manner, and then tells us the common sense approach that will be taken to address the obvious difficulties the club faces. An excellent interview from Steve Waggott. We need more of this communication.
When our payroll is 130% of income something has to give. It is not sustainable.I'm regularly baffled by the criticism Waggott gets. Every interview I see of him he's excellent. Its not his fault the club has practically League 1 revenue. Himself/Venkys/JDT are doing a great job keeping it right up there in the Championship. The problem as ever is that some fans still absurdly demand the Premier League, so need to have a scapegoat to explain why their crackpot expectations aren't being met.
And now Ipswich!! What’s going on?Looking at the very early league table just now but don’t understand why Rovers are below Cardiff and Southampton who have the same 2-1 score line( Cardiff still playing). Isn’t it normally alphabetical?
I noticed this a few times last season too. Am I missing something?
Yep, was listening to Waggot on the way to yesterday's game and he said that the owners have had to put in £270m since we got relegated. I know we've been losing about £15m per season on average, so I assume the other £100m or so is paying for the academy or something. When our payroll is 130% of income something has to give. To be fair I think a lot of clubs, and their fans, are going to get a shock in the coming years. I can see a few dropping like flies.Yep, was listening to Waggot on the way to yesterday's game and he said that the owners have had to put in £270m since we got relegated. Either way a quarter of a billion is an absurd amount that Venkys have put in, its understandable that that's a difficult level of losses for them to sustain indefinitely. But to stop losing money they'd literally have to halve the wage bill, and then we'd probably get relegated.
Which then goes back to the difficult truth that in the natural club size order, Rovers are pretty much now a League 1 club. So again its absolutely comical that some fans still think top half of the Championship isn't good enough, man are they in for a shock in the next 5 years.
Something was needed to be done. Time wasting and kicking away the balls after the referee has whistled has annoyed me quite much the recent years. There is hardly any sportsmanship in football anymore.I really like all this cracking down personally. Football, especially at Championship level where you get quite a few teams who can't really play it, was becoming a bit unwatchable with all the gamesmanship. Players going down to waste time or to disrupt the momentum of the opposition, players kicking the ball away, ball-boys actually not giving the ball back to the away team on occasion, players surrounding refs to get decisions, idiot managers never staying in their technical area, towels for throw-ins.
Cleaning up the game should help Rovers I would have thought as a small side who want to knock it about and get into a rhythm.
I wonder where all of the money is actually going to?Yep, was listening to Waggot on the way to yesterday's game and he said that the owners have had to put in £270m since we got relegated.
