Where’s the revolution then?

The nation is not starving. The nation is not fearful. Despite complaints, the people are largely content. And any complaints are largely confined to online posts.

If the people as a whole become hungry or scared, or are otherwise provoked to the extent that they’ll turn into a violent mob at the drop off the hat, then you’ll get your revolution. Complete with guillotines.

Made little sense to me whatsoever until just a few weeks later we woke up on 2/5/11 to the news that US Navy seals had captured and killed Bin Laden in Abbotsville Pakistan. The extra 'overseas aid' to Pakistan was a bribe or I'm a dutchman.

I thought I'd made that clear ODB. We couldn't get Bin Laden despite bombing most of the hindu kush which was costing a fortune and making sophisticated US weapons look silly so we (us and the US) reverted to good old fashioned bribery and greased a few Pakistani palms. Result within weeks! Should have done that at the start. Those feckers in Pakistan knew where he was the whole time and the 'hiding in a cave' story was just bollocks. How they must have laughed as the US pumped expensive weaponry into piles of rock. I expect the people who betrayed him will now be living happily in Monaco / Malibu / Fort Lauderdale or similar under a new identity.

As for the rest of our aid look at the top 10 beneficiaries. Every fly blown, shit hole and troublesome place on the bloody planet. I know that we are probably using it to keep an eye on terrorists but all the same don't you just love what they do with our taxes? (Mercedes certainly do!).
