Danish Owen Coyle and the shambolic summer recruitment and it’s lateness which I’m mentioned before appointment is so reminiscent

I will never understand any manager who insists on playing JRC, Dolan and/or Vale.

Vale deserves a loan out to a league 1 club.
I'd sell JRC if it's possible.
Dolan needs to join a pub league.

Time for squad strengthening is fast running out.
JDT, like his predecessor doesn't know his best team but he has fewer to choose from.
Yes, of course, he needs more time but I can't see him seeing the season out.

This manager is toast. Weve gotten worse game on game which does not resonate well.

Pointless triangles and passing in our own box, Ayala is something else but this team is turgid. We need 6 JDT not 3!

It's as bad as the Coyle era but at least Coyle played better football this is tedious and directionless slow and allows everyone to get back to defend the attack.

JDT is not the man. I'm sorry I am saying it early but he's a bloody disgrace sat there the same things people moaned at mowbray for. Second league game almost in a row where he's double subbing at HT, this man does not know his team. Better still the players know this and don't look like listening to him.

Cant wait to see Drogs ref score!
Dolan was cut off at the neck with the linesman 5 yds away! WTF!

I couldnt for the life of me understand bringing Dolan on when Hedges was the clear and obvious choice imo
Sizodics bottled it - one clattering and he looked scared to death?
What worries me is that Stoke are awful - But they roughed us up - which wasnt a surprise to me but will be what every opponent does
We arent robust enough - the players looked confused - Travis body language (for a captain) was poor, Dolan is a 20min impact sub and nothing else.
Whatever has supposedly happened with Hedges neeeds sorting - he must start. Well played young Wharton - some real vision and the ability to pass first touch but he looks very lightweight - every coach in this league will target him for a kicking
Felt sorry for Dack on another day he would have had a goal or two but credit where it is due Stoke defended for their lives (and got lucky too)
Very frustrating - we deserved at least a draw

Excellent t post Dack was abysmal he lost the ball more times than I could count today. Yards of the pace

Rovers were poor in the first half and v good in the second, on another day we'd have had 3 or 4 in that second half and I thought A Wharton was outstanding. That's all I've got to say on the game because again I'm coming away from Ewood more pissed off with the support - or lack of it - than the actual team.

Times will change and who knows in 5 years time the good times may come back, we might get bought by a rich Arab or another billionaire that wants a hobby, or whatever but what will NEVER change is the embarrassing home support that we have. I'm seriously considering joining the away support only brigade because I don't want to be associated with the boring twats that surround me every week. The bloke stood next to me today never joined in one song, never tried to get an atmosphere going, but was quick to slag off every player in a blue and white shirt when we went behind. I'm sick of it.

I've no doubt lots on here will have the view that the team needs to give the fan's something to shout about, but how about being a bit pro active and making it an atmosphere worth playing in. I was late coming away today because I was queuing for my Blackpool ticket and on my way home I bumped into 3 young Stoke lads and ended up chatting to them for about ten minutes. What did we talk about? The game? The teams? No, we talked about how shite our support was, in their words, they go to a lot of away grounds and have seen some pretty bad atmosphere's but our's was about the worst they'd seen. I couldn't argue because I knew they were spot on.

As I say, I'm sick of it, can't wait to get to Blackpool on Wednesday and have a proper sing song. Hopefully we'll leave the donkeys at Ewood.

I would give BBD 2/10 today. He was an embarrassment.

JDT needs to have a good look in the mirror after that performance. Not one shot on target and 12 corners and 3 free kicks on the edge of the penalty area and everyone of which was pathetic; what do they do at Brockhall?

Poor crowd - the place was like a morgue.

I am not a happy 🐰

How many games with zero shots now? I make it 3?

Correction guys
There were shots on target
Dack had two blisterring shots that Stoke somehow blocked and as I posted earlier with a bit of luck they could easily have deflected in - but today they went wide
There was a clearance against Dolan that had me applauding the defending - we didnt test the keeper but that was down to some dogged defending

This is exactly why I packed it in a few years ago now. The atmosphere has always meant more to me than how we're doing on the pitch. The latter matters of course, but in the long-term it'll be an equal amount of ups and downs, and enjoying watching/supporting Rovers shouldn't be entirely dependent on winning.

But for a lot of fans it now is and I found myself going to games dreading that we'd even draw and the moaning and swearing at players would start. As you say Ewood is dire these days atmosphere-wise, and personally I can't enjoy it anymore. The club needs to proactively do something to improve it.

Spot on. There are Rovers fans out there like you and me that take as much pride at our support off the pitch as we do with the team on it. Of course we all want to see us win every week, but that's never gonna happen, the sad fact is we lose off the pitch EVERY week and if that doesn't bother you then I'm afraid you're a big part of the problem.

I've said it before but buying a ticket and rocking up is only a part of being a good fan, if you sit there in silence apart from moaning then I for one would rather you didn't turn up at all. I had a dream once that we had 8,000 hardcore fans packed into the Blackburn end, all stood, up singing loud and proud.... as I said it was a dream, we'd be lucky to get 800 these days.

I've give up trying to make excuses. We're shit and we always will be and like you bawh's it makes me really sad.

The thing they need to do --------is impossible
The ground is too big for our fan base and we are too spread out in a massive stadium - I was an avid singer but I aint getting up on my own in the middle of the JWU

Back in the day we were all congrigated together in the centre of the Blackburn End - even then the rest of the ground didnt get involved unless it was a thriller - just like now
Away is a different animal - and always has been - its an underdog, us against them mentality. Thats why I followed for so many years - Atmospher
PC has killed humour and free speech/singing
Thats the problem imo
I cant see any answers except standing areas - which will be fine until there is an incident

Just a point on Stoke and their "fantastic" atmosphere - it used to be pumped through massive speakers at volume 10 - it wasnt real (fact)

I enjoyed the piped crowd noise during lockdown for that very reason.
There doesn't seem to be anywhere on the ground to avoid them 😔

Change stands 1SG. 👍
I never sing these days but I like to analyse and enjoy the match on a football basis. Mindless songs e.g Stoke fans above any others bar Burnley and Oldham supporters singing 'Blackburn's a shit hole I want to go home' is almost unbelievable!
I'll be honest I know it creates atmosphere but I've left all that singing behind in the dim and distant past.

Is the away support even any good these days? Mt last one, away at West Brom about 3 years ago, has probably put me off for good Played quite well against a (at the time) automatic promotion-level side, got beat 3-2 but went 1-0 up.

4 young lads (always more depressing when they're young) behind me and my mates started on at the team as soon as West Brom equalised. This angry, snarling "You're shit Mulgrew!!!" type stuff and it was just non-stop for 45 mins. My mates were waiting for me to start an argument (common occurrence back then) but I think thats the day I officially gave up with the moaners. In the end my mates actually said lets move seats at half time, and where we ended up wasn't much better.

Nail on the head from frwjd above:

I do think there is some rose tinted views on singing/support
I have travelled to hundreds of away games and they are only backs against the wall singing for 90mins every now and then.
If we go two down in 20mins its silence - like Ewood for long periods today
This idea that we sing for the full 90mins ended with all seated stadiums and a PC culture where nobody dare say anything that might be construed as offensive
If my memory serves a chant would be started by a random, and that just started a wave effect that picked up momentum

I was at the WBA game Blueandwhitehalves and that was a perfect example - great start - everyone buzzing - having a sing song - WBA score a couple and silence descended
