Preston bound on Saturday against a team where our luck seems to always run out. They must be the luckiest team in the nation when they play us.

I just hope Eustce fires our players up for this game in the same way that the Preston manager bloke does. JDT seemed incapable of doing so.

I nipped out for a quick pint last night md we had a wee competition at the bar, we decided to try and name 3 famous Nobbers players. The four of us could only manage two in total who were Tom Finney and Nobby Stiles; someone also suggested a goalkeeper who they thought was called something like Dame Kelly Edwards. No wonder Nobbers fans are always in our shadows.

My prediction for Saturday’s cup final is 5-1 to Preston with Dolan going off with a bad back after his goal celebration.

Could see something similar to Birmingham away.

My modest hope is that Birmingham away was another of those insipid mid-week away nights on the cursed luxury bus, and Eustace will have the players fired up for this more than his predecessors. Hopefully we'll be working on the training ground to get a better balance and snatch a draw or win.
