Other side of the coin and the BBC's His Dark Materials has lots of black actors when the book and the film version the Golden Compass didn't have any. Obviously the BBC doesn't want targeting similarly to Virgin and is 'over representing' the number of black people in today's society.

That's the BBC all over isn't it?

I imagine a lot of people are getting fed up with BBC revisionism WB. Alison Pearson saying what many are thinking: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/bbc-leading-charge-rewriting-culture-suit-woke-brigade/

(Telegraph's paywall turned off for 25 hours - you used to be able get around it until a couple of years ago by using 'in-private window' / 'incognito window').
Great read that SLKS.
If only the beeb had to stand on its own two feet instead of being propped up by the unfairness of the licence fee.
As for James Bond becoming a black woman, why not just create a new spy character for the woke generation, put those films up against the male Bond with his macho womanising and political incorrectness and see which one loses a shed load of money at the box office?

Indeed... I've never watched Dr Who since it turned into a dizzy woman following ridiculous scripts with the obligatory BAME / LBGTQ companions. I think it was the attempt to canonise Rosa Park episode which finally did for me. Strong woman and all that but to select someone that most would need to google to know who she was, in front of all the major figures in history is just ridiculous.

btw I see that Lily Allen wants Rule Britannia to be banned now cos it mentions slaves and ruling the waves etc. I take it she hasn't heard of William Wilberforce?https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1...er-rule-britannia-song-banned-remembrance-day
Her manager must see her career going backwards and in need of a boost is my guess. No such thing as bad publicity eh?

BBC doctoring Johnson Remembrance Day footage to show the drunk PM in a better light.

https://www.heraldscotland.com/news...ootage-boris-johnson-remembrance-day-service/

BBC has always been a friend of the Tory party - most of its political and economic commentators have right wing connections.

Instead of the impartial public service broadcaster it's supposed to be, that's the BBC all over isn't it ?
I fail to see what that has to do with my comment on the disproportionate representation of minority groups by the beeb.

"Europe’s open infrastructure, its rejection of national and regional borders, has worsened the problem. From the mass flow of migrants from Muslim countries to the ease with which Muslim gang members move between European countries, the lack of border security has made the conquest of Europe easy."
Precisely as I've been saying for years! Unlike the perennially weak North African nations Europe stayed free from the ambitions of Islam because our forefathers in the Balkans and Southern Europe had superior weapons and damned well used them! Since the weak liberal governments of Western europe have opened the floodgates we are seeing the world of Islam first hand in all it's glory..... and it aint nice! The names of the EU leaders and leaders of Western governments will become despised by future generations as civil war rages.

Two dead.:pensive:
"The suspect was wearing what is thought to have been a hoax explosive device. He was a former prisoner and convicted of a terrorist offence, sources have told the BBC."

Thank god he's been killed and his miserable existence brought to a fitting end BUT who tf in authority sanctioned the release from prison of a known terrorist? How also did this fecker get hold of a knife and a gun? Someone, somewhere needs to be held to account over this!

Personally I find it extremely galling that our justice system no longer seems to be about the victim(s).

The perpetrator has heaps of money and planning go into his/her arrest, prosecution, prison facilities, rehabilitation efforts and release program.
The bystanders who acted heroically get heaps of praise and attention from every media source and public figure going.

What about the 2 victims? What about their families? We're probably talking 10 people minimum that will serve a life sentence and I can only echo your sentiment Gord in where is the retribution?

Its a shame we'll never bring back executions but in the absence of that, chuck him in the dankest, darkest cell and throw away the key. And while we're at it, remove parole hearings for every incarcerated Islamic terrorist we have.

After the death in the Charlottesville clashes between the American far-right and counter-protestors a couple of years back, every local government representative in America set about dismantling Confederate history in their area. Can you imagine the same reaction to an Islamic extremist attack in this country? The left would have a full blown panic attack at the very notion.

And just as an addition to that, one of the reasons 80s football hooliganism was virtually eradicated is insane sentences started being brought in to deliberately discriminate against football hooliganism versus an equivalent level of non-affiliated crime. Look at the Cherry Tree pub scrap between Rovers and Burnley hooligans in 2009. They didn't even get near each other but 20 people were sent down for an average of 10 years each.

How about we start doing that where Islam is concerned? Again, the left would have kittens. Protected group.
