The rest of the world will be rolling around laughing at our treasonable political chicanery. If democracy is to fail what is left? Anarchy?

Parliament "taking back control"

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46446694

Slowly but surely, the Brexit debacle is being reversed.

The next stage should be for the perpetrators to be tried in court.

Grees-Smogg, Johnson, Farage - the faces of Russian-financed subversion of Britain's future, traitors and rogues.

Chris
Glad you put "taking back control" in speech bubbles Jim. Even you admit this is just another meaningless buzz phrase in the desperate propaganda war of the Remoaners. Ooo, they "took back control", scary. They know they'd be digging their own graves screwing democracy and overturning a referendum. It will never happen, no matter what new spin you and the MSM try to put on it.

By the way, the Gammon insult is massively racist. Negatively associating white people turning red when emotional? Absolutely disgraceful, you should be ashamed of yourself racist.

Racist b&wh? Really? I do that just before the pin comes out. Maybe I'm just thick skinned but John's comment although obviously intended to insult is a pretty accurate observation. It's just a natural signal for opponents to back off or get ready for action. Like dogs snarling, cat's fluffing up, bulls bellowing and pawing the ground etc. Question remains though how those with darker skin display warning signals.

It fits the very definition of racism in my opinion. Picking a characteristic solely or more attributed to a particular race and using it in a negative context. Imagine if I referred to Muslims as "chocolate" every time I criticised them?

The left have written the book on political correctness over the last 30 years and personally I agree with a lot of their core principles regarding genuine racism, genuine sexism etc.

The fact that the same lefties totally dispense with their own rules when it suits is as incredible as it is contemptible.

The massive elephant in the political room is that brexit could have been avoided IF the liberal and the PC left had not hounded Powell out all those years ago. Yet still the politicians and the press and media will seek to avoid acknowledging that fact. The people of England and particularly in the industrial heartlands of the North were neither asked nor consulted about such high levels of islamic immigration and associated covert Islamic ambition all those years ago were they? They've found out the hard way since that's for sure! Dunno who wanted it to happen or for what reason but the genie is out of the bottle now. Merkels unbelievable declaration of intent to flood Europe with millions more came just at the right time for the referendum.
As ye sow so shall ye reap.

As one racist said (can't remember who it was, Enoch Powell??) they "don't look British and they don't act British".

Meanwhile, another racist finally sees the light.
"
Two questions.
1. Who were "they"?

2. Re: "another racist". Who are you referring to as the previous racist?

btw I agree wholeheartedly with the gist of the second half of that statement. When in Rome is an unwritten code for ALL the peoples of the world to adhere to. Simple courtesy and respect for indigenous people in their homeland wherever it is. Any women visiting Saudia are expected to adhere to strict islamic code of dress and cover their bodies from their head to their feet. Is it unreasonable for islamic women to dress in the fashion that indigenous women do when they are in other nations?

Perhaps Murdoch's poodle Farage only likes public school racists ?

Does it get as tiring for you posting, as it gets as tedious for us reading, the same fatuous, middle-class, attitudinising, on two different Brexit threads, on two separate discussion boards, under two different guises John?

Oh, looking at your regular posting times, it seems that nursie takes her break on the secure ward each night between 1.20 am and 1.40 am...

Just like in Saudi Arabia most of the UK women who live under the yoke of male dominated Islam have little or no choice about what they can and can’t wear .

The USA will impose tariffs on the EU. The question is when, not if.

Trump is tactical. He put off tariffs on China until the Mexico-Canada dispute was resolved. That was resolved and he started hitting China. He resolved S. Korea quickly and by agreement. Once he resolves China, he'll turn his attention to the EU.

The tariffs are temporary measures designed to encourage the US's trading partners to reciprocate the low US tariffs. If tariffs are imbalanced, then they will be re-balanced or the USA will raise its tariffs.

The good news is that long term Trump favors zero tariffs as long as it is reciprocal.

The good news short term or long term, if China and the EU do not lower their tariffs, and the USA imposes or increases tariffs, then more industries will be located in the USA to avoid them, which means American jobs.

The USA is in a win-win position via trade deals.

Something the eu doesn't appear to have grasped yet... or at least not publicly.

The EU is the biggest and most powerful trading bloc in the world - which Brexiteers cannot grasp. Trump will return to Washington with his orange tail between his legs.

^ Your inability to grasp basic economics is astounding.

The EU trade surplus with the USA is massive. What happens when EU goods are priced out of the market and that trade surplus vanishes?

The EU has an excellent benefit with the trade surplus with the USA. It supports a lot of EU jobs. But as is the case with many advantages, it creates a weakness. In this case, economic hardship when the American market is cut off, which conversely strengthens the American market.

Threats to cut off the US market will be met with reciprocal action. Brussels already has the US tech giants in its sights and is cutting them down to size - starting by penalising them for evading taxes. Americans don't understand the EU. Trump and his protectionist policies will be history in less than 2 years. For the sake of humanity and world peace, it can't come soon enough

Benjy uses the term 'Little Englander' frequently to belittle other posters. Well all this reveals that he is actually a 'Little EU'er'. The mouse that roared in fact.

So where are the eu gonna look to for trade when the US penalises us? Putin? Xi? Good luck with formulating an answer John.
