Agree but I believe he would find success with the sort of budget enjoyed by most clubs in the top 10.
He has had 4 years here in the championship and he hasn't deliver promotion. How many more seasons do we give him?

Surely its time to freshen the manager hot seat up and try a new manager. We can't keep going on a losing streak every time after Christmas.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion but personally I don't understand the "taken us as far as he can", "won't get us promoted" etc arguments.

Reasons why we're lucky to be in the Championship:
Fanbase - we have one of the smallest catchment areas in the entire football league. Blackburn is increasingly Muslim who aren't interested. Kids increasingly gloryhunt City, Liverpool and Utd on our doorstep.
Attendances - thanks to the above, plus it being a low wage area, we have among the lowest crowds in the league even selling below average priced tickets.
Income - not much TV money outside the PL, so our income is dictated by the above 2, i.e. its very low.
Squad strength - dictated by transfer and wage funds, so income. Take Brereton and Gallagher out, ours is cheap as chips.

Reasons we should be in the PL:
We were in it most of the 90s/00s - contributes 0 points per season.
We won it in 1995 - contributes 0 points per season.
We won the League Cup in 2002 - contributes 0 points per season.

Our expectation-levels should now align with the likes of Preston, but I've heard louder boos at Ewood for draws than Preston fans gave their players for getting beat 4-1 in a derby.

The fact that Mowbray has been getting stick this season given all the above is insane. I honestly think we've got the most entitled fans in the country, and as long as that continues, every Rovers manager will get undeserved stick based on delusional expectations.

Surely BB that's a bit hypocritical of you?
Me hypocritical? No.

I believe in thanking him for the good work he has done. If he is moving it is time to move on and look forward and hope the V’s make a decent appointment.

I think B&WHs was on a wind up BB . Poking the wasp’s nest .

I checked the responses too and they were entirely predictable . In one post , B&WHs was being lumped in with a poster called FortressEwood , who had the temerity to write , and I’m paraphrasing here , that he felt Mowbray had done a reasonable job and the abuse directed at him was disgusting. His post didn’t follow their groupthink so he was called out as a Burnley fan . Like the left wing echo chamber that’s their politics thread , it seems a pretty nasty and vindictive forum .

As B&WHs wrote , it’s little wonder other fans mock us for our entitlement complex . I guess that’s one of the downsides of the Walker years , we have a rump of deluded fans who can’t accept anything but Premier League status .

I just had a quick look. That was a mistake. There is no need for the vitriol you have endured. Are folk not allowed an alternative view? It reminds me of the left-wing woke brigade 😡😡
Just had a look..... first time in years. What a load of thick fuckers! All the usual goons are in place still criticising the club as much as they can. I wonder how many have run a business and of those who have how many have not gone bust? I get the impression a number are happy the club are going to miss out on promotion just say they can say "I told you so". Revidge Blue has still got an intense hatred for John Williams I see! Well he would have wouldn't he? He was the LT's Fans Eye View for a few months back in the early noughties before he came out with negative and unsubstantiated rubbish on there and Williams phoned the LT Editor and got him the sack! Rev Blue btw wanted to bin off Brad Friedel and sign a younger keeper in 2004.

Or as Stan Ternent famously referred to the Bee Hole / Longsight ends as having "Champagne taste on beer money". That babyhouse attitude isn't just restricted to Burnley though is it?

You would be amazed how many Asians go to Ewood and I know there are big plans to attract even more. They are increasingly our future as our support tails off.

Tony Mowbray has reminded me of his namesake Blair during the last couple of years or so.

Kind of like the turd that won't flush. 💩

That’s fair enough . We’re still a second tier club , same as when I started supporting the Rovers in 66/67 .

Next season we have derby games against PNE , Blackpool and Wigan and some other potentially juicy games with one of Everton / Leeds / Burnley still in the frame to join us from the Premier League and Sunderland/ Sheffield Wednesday from the third tier

The end of the TM era , which on the whole was good , better than expected .

Onto the next 👍

Thanks for the time at Blackburn Tony. Personally I have nothing against him as he has been the best manager we have had for a long time. A genuine guy I think. If we talk about this season I wish he would have been a bit less stubborn and actually changed a few things after the new year. Gallagher will never be a winger Tony 😉. Go and watch your lad on weekends as he needs your support and knowledge about football. I hope he will get a warm welcome back in whatever role he will have in the future.

I see internet tech as the biggest threat going fwd. Loads of people now rely on dodgy boxes, firesticks and apps to watch their club. I think the only way fwd is to ban all live transmissions.
