So 38 hours to go of this window and I feel we need at least 3 signings maybe 4.

But we need to sort our Rothwell future and given Mowbray's comments on him, He wants him out of the club and he isn't happy with his desire to leave so late in the window. Also given Mowbray comments that he could sign 2 championship players around 23/24 aged wise as me thinking that Mowbray and Park have already identify who we want as replacements and the cost involved.

I would look at Bristol City's midfielder Joe Williams, Reading Ovie Ejaria, Barnsley Callum Styles, Sunderland Dan Neil as possible signings depends on the fees involved
(
I also think we need move Chapman, Davenport and Buuterworth(on loan) if we can bring in the signings we need

Prediction Champion 2019 & 2020
He has let his team mates down for 90% of his Blackburn career
It has been in his own interests to put in the performances he is capable of over the last couple of games!! He has been angling for another option after Steve Gerrard went to Villa and scuppered his move to Glasgow
His wife needs geography lessons - Glasgow was North luv.
He has never conned me!
"special talent"
Try "selfish talent"
You called it Steve .

I’d now say he’s a “ selfish special talent “ I still regard him as our most creative and impactful player but the way he or his agent has tried to engineer his move , has done him little credit .

Almost all football players are transitory , with little or no loyalty for their club. All the current squad would probably move for more money, better contracts and hopefully for them , better career prospects . I guess that’s why Ryan Hedges is leaving Aberdeen to join Rovers . Is he a Scottish League version of Rothwell ?

Sadly I think Rothwell has probably played his last game for the Rovers , if TMs interview last night is anything to go by . He’ll be a big miss and it’s in situations like this when the Rovers management earn their money to find suitable replacements .

I just hope the uncertainty regarding the other contract rebels , Nyambe and Captain Courageous Lenihan doesn’t derail Rovers promotion push . Then we have Brereton whose probably thinking about his future too , after more heroics in Chile . I’d hope they’ll all look at the Rothwell situation and try to engineer their moves in a better and more decent manner .

Chicago Fire..... Would be a backward step in terms of career achievements, but maybe Rothwell is happy earning good money and playing in a crap league.
He wanted the Rangers move but Gerrard leaving stop it. He wants to talk to other teams so wants out. So better now getting the best deal we can and bring in players who wants to be here.

Rovers need to get shut off Rothwell now. There is no way back for him now.

If we can afford it, let him flatten his arse on the bench in the under 18s, as the last replacement, and he can train on his own.
Disgraceful attitude to his teammates.
His behaviour will be a warning to anyone who wants to sign him.
Leaving a team with promotion prospects?
What kind of decision is that?
Leave when you've got that on your CV.
Oh, and I forgot the potential bonus from the owners.
Seriously, who is advising this guy? Do we know his agent? It's a name that should be put out there, for the financial benefit of all footballers.

After having read Mowbray’s interview last evening I can’t see that Rothwell has any further future at BRFC. He must be sold as soon as possible preferably not to a club challenging for promotion in our league.
It is now important to bring in new blood via a loan in the next 24 hours. I hope that the Rovers’ staff are making every effort to make it happen.

Indeed.
Rovers should accept an offer from some league south of league 2 .
Certainly not any team in or above our level (because if he goes to the PL, he may be playing against us next year.)

Robin, there’s pretty much nothing to disagree with on that. Black and white he’s contracted to Rovers until June, end of discussion. Sadly (and we don’t even know it’s happened) he’s not the first player to act like this, and he won’t be the last.

BUT (and this is providing it’s NOT a Promotion rival), as a club there is a lot to weigh up here. If he has stated he won’t play for us again or refused to travel, then other than saving face, what benefit is there to having him kick his heels in the U23s, still getting paid? If it’s a Prem club and it’s a reported 4 or 5 million, we might just have to accept this one and let it happen.
4 to 5 mill to any club other than Bournemouth is not a bad deal but we would be stupid to sell him to them before the end of the season.

Got the impression that Bradley Johnson ain’t best pleased either. Seems he’s pissed a few off, unsurprisingly.
Not surprising is it? The rest of the players have the riches of the Premier League in their grasp and Rothwell's talent and ability is needed. They know he's key to our ambitions but he doesn't appear to. I can't understand it as keeping his head down and playing to the best of his ability is a win win for him and his agent. Would that he had the mentality and commitment of Lucas Neill.

Thanks Joe for upsetting fans and players (if it’s now true). A real good timing to start playing mind games but I’m sure his agent knows what he is doing. Bastards.
Seems agent and wife led to what I'm hearing. Standard tactics to get their wish. I'd say the agent is on a massive backhander from some club to force the issue.
I can well understand his desire to earn as much from his next contract as possible cos it will be his last chance. If every one of us was to retire in 5 years and some other company offered to quadruple our wages we'd all go for it wouldn't we?
As I said above it all seems unnecessary with his best situation to stay here and graft until May. If we go up he will get a share of venkys kitty plus a rise in salary, if we stay down he's out of contract and with a glowing playing cv to hawk his ability around, It's baffling me.
