A 42 mile long convoy of heavy machinery with inefficient engines needs lots of fuel and the personnel lots of food. It's a sitting target for guerrilla tactics by the Ukraine forces. Also bridges bombed and roads bulldozed and blocked will provide a massive hindrance.
I'm pretty sure that the military of western governments will be pouring over every move whilst watching Russia's military in combat action, from the point of view of gathering info and noting their strengths and weaknesses. It will be revealing loads of info previously unavailable elsewhere.

Rather reminds me of the story of Tito and Stalin after Stalins men had made repeated attempts to kill Tito.

We’ve already captured five of them, one of them with a bomb and another with a rifle. (…) If you don’t stop sending killers, I’ll send one to Moscow, and I won’t have to send a second.”

I think this might be fishy too. If I was a conspiracy theorist and a fan of David Callan I'd suggest he was probably sourcing weapons for the Ukraine army and Vlad found out.

So it’s over one week since this chapter of a new European tragedy started. It was quite some time since something so serious occurred within Europe and It’s sad to see and hear brother people killing each other. The big question is why? Because a paranoid mad Tsar in Russia believes that Ukraine is full of Nazis? That’s a silly excuse even though Ukraine has had some issues with National socialism in the past. I would say the war is black and white as its wrong in so many levels and I hope the Ukrainians will kick out the Russians. However, the more I read about Ukraine the picture is far from black and white as this country seem to be extremely divided between different groups and....*drum rolls*...corrupted! Please have a look at this list from 2020 (https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/corruption-index?continent=europe) and check who is second last in Europe. The EU now wants Ukraine to apply for membership (replacement for Great Britain?) which is rich of raw materials such as oil. Stalin knew this and so did Hitler and I´m quite sure the fourth rei....sorry...the EU is aware of this as well. If they now get accepted to the EU ,we who are still in this Union, will also inherit the long time internal conflicts between groups in Ukraine. There have been several governments with either pro-west or east approach but none seem to really unify Ukraine as a country. Can this be done or does this country need to split up like former Yugoslavia?
To sum this up I think Ukraine is just a brick in some political game between west and east (Nato/EU vs Russia) and in the end its the people that will suffer the most. Whenever this war will end, the oligarchs and all other political rogues in east and west will be going back and doing businesses as usual. I apologize for being rather cynical about this conflict. The best thing now would be if the Russian people would actually revolt and remove Putin from the power.

There's something strange going on there, huge tables, him at one end, the rest at the other.Suggestions on gb news this morning that putin's irrational and perhaps insane behaviour along with his mortal fear of catching covid is down to him suffering from cancer.
