Just read a rather a damning statistic from the WHO and appearing in the Telegraph. "In 2016 more than half of the 'Doctors' practising in India had no medical qualifications and a third were only educated to secondary school level."
Am I alone in wondering whether some of those might have slipped through the net and are practising here?

Have a look at the consultant lists for any private hospital and you will find that most come from South Asia.

Obviously as with similar bad practices carried out by bame the authorities prefer to place the telescope over the eye patch.
My own experience of the illicit rag trade was of a local taxi driver working back then for Goldenline who when taking me home one night saw my empty barn and offered to fill it with sewing machines and workers at 50p per hour making denim clothing.
I reeled him in a little by saying 'bugger off, no one will work for 50p per hour". Very encouraged he couldn't wait to explain and informed me that recent arrivals from the Indian sub-continent, frequently living in converted loft spaces in terraced houses couldn't claim benefits immediately and so had to work under the radar for cash in order to pay their relatives for their rent and keep.
It presented a really great opportunity to make lots of money exploiting ignorant and desperate people.... can't think why I didn't pursue it! I've been kicking myself ever since.

Absolutely not! If the CPS and the police couldn't gain a murder conviction, for the driver at least, then it doesn't look like they were doing their job properly.
Hard cases make bad law ODB. The last Labour government, eroded the principle of double jeopardy, and some rights to trial by jury, to the the point where these are now in danger of being lost forever. These common law rights have been in place, since the 12th century. These are not new libtard contrivances. There is a reason behind these ancient rights; they are there to stop the Crown/ the State, (and it agents), with all its power and resources at its disposal from making repeated attempts to convict an individual on the same charge. Be careful what you wish for ODB.

Nonsense it was the juries fault. Maybe they were still apprehensive after the gypsies previous attempts at intimidation?

Yes they should but that's not the fault of the double jeopardy law and the jury should be protected from intimidation by their identities being kept secret.

My beef is with the judge . Granted it’s been reported that the jury was intimidated, but the judge says he saw no truth in that . We have to accept that .
In the case of manslaughter I believe he has the discretion to impose a life sentence , which usually means a minimum of 15 years before parole .
Reading the harrowing description of how PC Harper died , I can’t imagine a more heinous crime . This was further exacerbated by the fact that the judge found that the defendants showed absolutely no remorse .
He then sentences the ringleader to just 16 years and says he’ll be eligible for release two thirds into that sentence , in effect before his 30th birthday . I’m sure to the man on the Clapham Omnibus that just doesn’t seem reasonable .
The question I’d like to ask the judge is , if not in a case like this , in what circumstances would he impose the maximum sentence for manslaughter .

Night of carnage in London as FIVE people are shot
Carnage broke out in London overnight with at least three shootings - one reportedly involving a sub-machine gun and multiple illegal raves were held.
Seems to me that the lawless are getting more and more lawless. Bloody sub machine guns now! Something which must be worrying the Met greatly. Soft policing and soft sentencing not being enough to prevent such escalations perhaps?
