Pickering could be just what we need to get us back to where we were. We have a good replacement for Lenihan in Ayala. That news has really made me feel better.

Problem with Ayala and Van Hecke playing together is that they are both back stop men. I imagine VH will be asked to play Lenihan's role.

I love the quality Buckley possesses and the major player that he has become this season but I just think he needs to take a back seat for a week or two to recharge his batteries.

I'd have been quietly confidant if Ismael had still been at the helm because it appears to me after recent results that he'd lost the squad. Whether Bruce can get a new manager bounce out of them remains to be seen. It sounds like Bruce's new formation improved them though (until Livermore was sent off after 40 mins) and they were deemed a taj unlucky at Sheff Utd.
