Think those 2 lines right there are spot on 1SG, exactly how I felt, and also a much needed reminder that its not the end of the world.that warm horrible feeling I got all over my body when that first goal went in was hard to describe, it was like the feeling you get when someone gives you the worst of worst news, I felt physically sick.
But today of all days we should remember that it's not the end of the world, worse things will happen to every one of us
Personally I don't think it was quite as bad as some. The plan of sit back, absorb the pressure and hit them on the break worked quite well in the first half. We needed a good save from Kaminski but otherwise restricted them and had the odd good break away (one of them could have resulted in a penalty).
Gallagher's injury seemed to rock us though, and then him unhelpfully signalling he wanted to play on caused confusion on our bench and we had 10 men for about a minute. Vale finally came on and they scored a minute later with Zaroury getting a free cross in despite us having 2 men on him. I think we let ourselves get distracted and switched off. After that I agree things went to pot.
One thing I noticed about them though is they're a dirty lot. Do the same constant tactical fouling that I've noticed with City, and seem to get away with it to the same extent too. I thought there were a few opportunities to break where they made sure if they didn't win the tackle, they took our player out of the attack. And how that dickhead Barnes stayed on the pitch is beyond me, could have had a red for the shove in Kaminski's face 1st half, could have been booked for his obviously deliberate shove after the goal, and should have been booked for a tackle 10 mins later where the ref inexplicably indicated "last chance".
Along with twice giving them goal kicks for blatantly obvious corners, it was the usual garbage standard we've come to expect with Championship refs.
