Robert Madley who reffed us against Leeds was shockingly biased! He's on the Prem list.

Referee Robert Madley should be investigated for the bias that he displayed today. If I was syill doing reviews he'd have had no more than 3/10. Instant yellow cards for the Rovers players v a good talking to and warnings for LUFC players! How does that figure? He was pressed into booking Gray because he stupidly kicked the ball away and that offence is an automatic yellow this season. Also if he had used equal measure for Ampadu (4) as he used for the Rovers players he could have been sent off twice over.
This following an apology for last weeks second Wednesday goal and I begin to wonder if there is some sort of Referees vendetta against the Rovers! Anybody else feel the same or am I becoming paranoid? o_O

These Premier League referees are lost without the massive off-pitch assistance they receive. It means they have to do something they seem to be now poorly trained to do - make a decision themselves.

Years of foreign influence in the game has totally warped refereeing, and there's a culmination of silliness that means referees are now confused and inconsistent. Every year we get a quick fix because of years of culture change followed by stupid refereeing rules.

Some shocking news! Daniel Ayala picked up a serious injury at the end of last week and won't feature in today's game for the Millers.

I bet he's in back in southern Spain. Wasn't he suspended for 3 matches before getting this injury? Be interesting to see if he's picked up a fresh tan when he gets back.
So Rotherham, bottom of the table with only 1 fit centre half and an injury ravaged squad. Should be an easy win but it has all the ingredients for a typical Rovers capitulation.

Mike Riley! He's head and shoulders UNDER all the others! Even a dingle couldn't have disliked the rovers more than him. How I hated seeing him in charge. Now he's in charge of referees so no wonder standards are so low!

Here's a thing...... https://talksport.com/football/4122...referees-after-bobby-madleys-shock-departure/
Turns out Robert Madely was the Ref who quit 5 years ago over a dodgy video he put on the internet mocking someone with a disabilty. 4 years later he's mysteriously allowed back and refereed our recent home match v Leeds. In my opinion he had a bloody shocker and was biased in his officiating.
Now I read he's from bloody Wakefield which is abot 10 miles from Leeds! Anyone else smell a rat?

I thought Ayala was on a short term contract so it might be his Rotherham days over. Pretty sure he started his first two games with two reds too.

He did give us a penalty at Old Trafford for the famous spoiling of Fergie's 70th birthday by the legend that is *gulp* Steve Kean.

Ayala has a contract with Rotherham United until the end of the season (source).

Ayala was one of our highest, if not, the highest, earner at the club during his time here. Salary Sport reported him as being on £17k per week, although I'm not sure how accurate that is. Given that he came to us on a free and with decent pedigree, I suspect it's about right. Given that he's only on a one-year contract at Rotherham United, will have been looking for one final meaty wage while he's still reasonably capable, and went there for free, I suspect he won't be far off that salary at the Millers.

Must have been a desperate move by Rotherham. Ayala is a superb defender without a doubt but not when he's on the treatment table and a quick calculation reveals that in the 3 years that he was here he played just 56 matches for us. This makes his already high wages of 17k pw a whopping and judicrous £48 grand per match!
When supporters around Ewood find a fall guy which they seem to love doing how come these sort of facts never seem to figure in the equation? Poor old Keith Andrews, Lee Carsley, Jason Lowe, Tim Sherwood etc etc were unfairly punished for playing regularly when they'd have been far better of pretending injured and just taking the money.

Another ingredient is Rotherham United haven't won an away game for 14 months. o_O We're usually quite obliging when this sort of statistic arises. Sorry in advance for mentioning it.

Had we been near the play-offs I would have had this down as a draw or defeat (our usual nosebleed).

However it should be a fairly convincing victory against the worst team in the league to keep us "only X points from the play-offs" (*happy clap).

3-1 to Rovers.

Anything less than a win and we will soon start looking over our shoulders.
