The Mayor of London read out some of the racist online abuse he receives as he demanded action from social media firms to tackle hate speech.

"Kill the Mayor of London and you will be rid of one Muslim terrorist."

"Deport all Muslims and make London white again"

"I wish Sadiq Khan would blow himself up like they all do."

BBC's got it mainly wrong as only one of those statements can ever be deemed racist. Unpleasant maybe (although he's put himself in the spotlight by his own ambition and things like that do go with the territory) but not racist.

I keep forgetting that there is no free speech in the UK.

And this is a problem, if true. Though she did apologize, so that counts for something.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/po...-for-age-of-consent-to-be-lowered-to-ten.html
Hewitt's mate Harman , who refused to apologise but had 'regrets' , was , as it says in the article , legal officer at NCCL when it had links to the Paedophile Information Exchange . Bizarrely MPs are talking about her becoming the next speaker of the Commons if that arrogant prat Bercow gets the chop .

This is the kind of madness that I have to endorse at work. o_O

Just goes to show how multiculturalism has failed when the government feels Orwellian measures like this are necessary to prevent a race war.
Thank goodness the boys in blue have been told to get their priorities right . Wouldn't want them to waste manpower on low level street crime would we ?

It always easier for police to engage with otherwise law abiding citizens, then it is to deal with the truly violent felons. The real bad guys might resist. A non-violent speaker, who otherwise is not a criminal, poses little or no risk to police.

Two of the top three secondary schools in the country are in Blackburn and are 100% Muslim.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-43420043

So, whilst it’s easy to knock the religious aspect and lack of integration, the results are there for all to see.
Why the hell are the majority of non-Muslim free schools in Blackburn churning out results that are crap in comparison?
I assume it’s a far stricter focus on the child’s attitude to education when away from school.
Perhaps also stricter attitudes exist within school, in the knowledge that parents will support such strictness and not insist that their offspring are brought up in an environment which is afraid to discipline them?

I shouldn't be surprised to find that they sit their exams same as their mothers do with elections by getting someone else to fill their papers in.

Short term gain , long term loss and a dangerous consequence given the current diplomatic situation with Russia.
Now that the snow has melted, it has revealed a more crucial danger – Britain’s energy policy, said The Daily Telegraph. During the blizzard, the national grid warned that the UK might not have enough gas to meet demand: the closure of coal-fuelled power stations has left us perilously dependent on foreign suppliers.

This makes a nonsense of the opposition and in particular Labour’s opposition to shale gas . We have a potential home grown energy source , with some reports stating we have 50 years of supply in the ground . Yet we’ve imported shale gas from the US and heavily rely on gas from Europe.

Thatcher ruined coal and as for fracking that is a disgusting phenomenon... poisoning the water tables and putting lives at risk with poisoning of tap water and taps setting on fire .

Most sources of energy have risks to the environment . If we’d have worried about that we’d stll be living in mud huts and we certainly wouldn’t have mined for coal , with all the risks that involved

Lots of countries are extracting shale gas and just as there are studies that it harms the environment ( with dramatic scare stories ) there are also studies that with the right regulation shale gas extraction can be done safely . Safe extraction of shale gas would also be a boost to the Lancashire economy .

Those who object to shale gas extraction on environmental & safety grounds should also applaud the closure of coal mines and the use of coal in general. Are we a country that doesn’t want to take the risks of developing our own sources of energy but we’re willling to take energy sources from those countries that are ?
