For anyone interested - I noticed they're guessing on the other site but I refuse to have anything to do with that miserable mob - the sales of season tickets as of Monday 13th June

BE Lower - 3027
Riverside - 1339
JW Lower - 1104
JW Upper - 1489
Total - 6959

This is taken from the stadium map and some figures may be slightly out due to the front row being a bit of a guess as to whether they're sold or not on sale at all.

Anyway, gives everyone an idea as to how many we've sold at the moment and whether the new manager will give these figures a boost.

Up the Blues.
well that's good to know.

No probs Chad. Maybe you could give them figures to the guessing misery's over there that are estimating 3-5 thousand sold. It took me about an hour of my time to get a more accurate figure rather than spouting figures without doing a little bit of research/work.

Anyway don't want to spend all my time talking about them, everyone is aware that anyone with any positivity either gets hounded off or leaves of their own volition for their sanity. If I were you Chad, I'd give up over there and spend more time on here, people seem a lot more balanced over here and as BB said, welcome contrasting views and ideas without arm flapping and abuse.

Wise words indeed 1SG. There’s no way on earth I’d be interested in looking at that place again.

Al I renewed recently and was told that if I paid an extra quid they’d post my ticket out or alternatively I could collect from the ticket office on the 18th July.

An extra £1!!! My my my that is disgusting. A £1 additional ‘Waggott Tax’ - what has the World come to? We should organise a boycott now.

As a new member I'm hoping to contribute more to topics than slagging off the other site, but the level of negativity over there has to be seen - or read - to be believed. In regards to season ticket pricing they're acting as though the club we're supposedly fan(atic)s of are asking for a liver or something for their seasons support.

I understand that it's all relative, I learned only recently that money isn't important until you haven't got any and as such I respect peoples views on the matter. At the moment the price of a season ticket to me isn't significant, 2 years ago I might have felt differently, so as I say I've not got an issue having sympathy for someone who feels like it's too much.

The issue I have got is people over there belittling anyone with the view that they'll pay it because it's their passion and a very important part of their lives , like being an ardent fan with blind faith and passion about their club is some sort of thing to ridicule. Following a football club has always been the same in principle has it not? You'll have good times and bad, sticking with them through the bad without throwing your arms in the air and saying I've had enough of this shit, I'm going to spend my Saturdays playing golf instead, is something to applaud and the more of that type at Ewood the better I say.

As I say the level of misery and negativity over there is beyond belief and I can't accept that they represent the average Rovers fan's views.

UP THE BLUES!!

I’ve just paid a visit and level of vitriol and abuse that is directed at the club is something to behold . Having said that it does provide a modicum of black comedy.

This is a post from DuffsLeftPeg after multiple posts from others about how wonderful the season ticket offers are at Bolton , Preston and Wigan ( you’d have to pay me to watch the sort of dross that lot have served up over the last four or five years but I digress ) :

“ Renewed yesterday. A lot of moaning and misery on here about pricing but I’m excited for the season ahead now a great management structure is in place at the club. If you want to go and watch Preston, Wigan or Bolton instead of Rovers my advice would be crack on! “

That put the forum into meltdown , To be fair I thought it was a pretty reasonable comment.

Just a load of Quislings and traitors aren't they? I warned about this effect when Williams reduced ticket prices over a decade ago. The less you pay for a product the less you value it.

End of the day £500 quid in the Bbend equates to £21.73 a game, where can you go realistically cheaper than that for entertainment? The cinema is charging £15/18 quid a ticket these days with VUE!

I agree Dunnfc, but it's more than entertainment is it not? For me and lots of others like me, it's showing support for the club you love and the town you love. As a proud Blackburnian - for all it's little downsides - I'll blindly show my support for the club, it's like an extension of showing your support for the town you grew up in. I love football, I love Blackburn, I love the Rovers.......... that is my point about that being something to be proud of and not ridiculed by the negative knobs because they may not feel the same way and would rather bicker endlessly about 50 quid here and there.

Criticisms are fine, even the odd rant here and there is fine, but that default negativity that some seem to have is beyond me i'm afraid, and I'm glad it is.

Rovers till I die (wihich with the way my belly's going may not be too long!)

True and another good post to be honest. I’m not from Blackburn but they were my granddas team and hence I support them from him taking me when I was younger.

Can you still pay monthly for a DD? It’s not as if say 50 a month direct debit order is that much to miss in reality?

Not being from the town doesn't diminish your support one bit, if Rovers are your club and you support them through the good times and bad it doesn't matter where you are from.

I'm sure you can still spread the payments, I don't so I'm not 100% sure though.

I don’t come from Blackburn as well. I have never lived in the town and to be honest I would not touch the town with a barge pole.

However Rovers are my team; always have been and always will be. I show my support by buying a ST whether I can make all the games or not. To cut prices devalues the product and makes it more difficult to increase in subsequent years.

What I don’t like about ticketing at Rovers is the lack of imagination and bonkers bundles. I would drop the £30 increase as I do not believe folk should pay different prices for similar seats.

I recognise they do the early bird to get cash flow during a lean period of income; however most of those who bought early would have bought regardless.

Rovers Marketing Department clearly need a person with my undoubted talents, wit, charm, modesty (my greatest virtue) and stunning good looks.
