the cinema is 5.99 pounds each person

Might be round your way but I can assure you that isn't the price here in the SE.

7000 tickets sold, is it me or does anyone else think that's quite poor? Given the fact we finished last season with 8,500?

End of the day £500 quid in the Bbend equates to £21.73 a game, where can you go realistically cheaper than that for entertainment? The cinema is charging £15/18 quid a ticket these days with VUE!
Where do you live?
Its £4.95 in Blackburn if you pre-pay
£5,95 if you pay in cinema

I just watched a fantastic Australian band with an equally good support act in Manchester (Rolling Blackout Coastal Fever and Stella Donnelly who are both well worth a listen and seeing by the way!)
For £16.50 - 3hrs entertainment

Towards Reading, pretty sure the last ticket was £12 pre-covid. Like everything else it's gone up and people are being fleeced.

£16.50 for a band is good value, Personally season tickets are too, just the match day pricing is a bit of a shambles.

I think supporting the Rovers is more of a vocation / duty than anything else . If I get entertained it’s a bonus . All I want is to see them win . Value for money doesn’t really enter into it , although I understand that the cost can be prohibitive for some . However I’d argue the prices still aren’t out of reach for most . It’s just a matter of priorities. Some will moan about them as an excuse not to go .

Getting back to where Big Sam had us before he left would be great . I’m not bothered about the style of play , it’s secondary to the Rovers winning . For guaranteed entertainment I subscribe to Netflix and Amazon Prime .

Just for comparison purposes we are off to Halifax Piece Hall next Friday to see the guitar and songwriting legend Nile Rodgers and CHIC . Two tickets cost us £128. 30 , which included booking fees of 2 x £5.50 and a transaction fee of £2.00 - I guess the latter charges would be described by some as the Swaggot tax 😱

I went to Blackburn Cinema to watch Top Gun Maverick and its cost me 15 pounds for 3 tickets, then a drink each.

We have sold over 7k and have beat last season sales. I reckon we will around 9 to 10k of STH with 2k walk on's.

I think the way JDT has come over in the last 3 days is nothing more than positive and exciting appointment. Which will lead to more people renewing than if we keep Mowbray or gone for someone like Adkins or Pulis or Woodgate

Best marketing we could do is call it a welcome JDT first home game and charge only a tenner! A good game performance would then surely convince people to get the ST?
A good idea but my only concern is that we stuff the game up in typical Rovers fashion 🙀

For once I disagree about ticket offers
Our season ticket prices are high in comparison to most other teams and it would be a kick in the teeth to those that have stumped up so much

With the almost certain offers later in the season it would encourage the opposite (imo) and super piss off a big percent of the fan base?

PNE have sold 13,000 alone. If we can't get 10,000 then its time to give up.
So both clubs would generate about equal incomes at the prices charged
But they will have more revenue from extras plus a better atmosphere (in theory)

A question for the decision makers at Ewood to explain - SW strikes again!!

I think it is very relevant - they are a very similar sized fan base
Their prices are so much cheaper than ours it is a perfect gauge (imo)

I, like many think we have overpriced our STs and it pisses me off big time that I now have to pay an extra £30 for my ST - I am not exactly unknown to the club (ticket wise)
I was even an away ST holder for many years
It does annoy me - and part of me is thinking - you now what! - I will buy just for the games that are attractive and wait for all the offers

if they are as badly organised as last season - I might even save money?
(5 games for £99 - or buy individually for £95!!!! you cant make this shit up :joy: )

I thought you had a ST Steve? There is no need to pay an extra £30 as the existing ST deadline has been extended.

my own opinion is that every club and its fan base is different to other clubs as people attitude, personal situation and finances is different.
Of course I agree with that
But as a gauge, Preston are ideal -, Our home followings are similar and we have a far better away following (Maybe that's the Venkys effect) In terms of spending power it points to the fact we have a slightly more affluent fan base? (I think our excellent away following is a fashion trend instigated in part by a fun season on the road in league!)
If I was in charge at Ewood, I would be using them for comparison purposes for sure
